Democrats constantly come up with proposals that are so ridiculous that you just have to laugh at them. They do it so much and with such consistency that sometimes they do something that still sounds idiotic at first but is evil and should be called out immediately and should not be allowed to continue.
One such monstrosity happened on Monday when White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said during a presser that Republicans are the party that defunded police. I know, I know. You’re sitting there scratching your head wondering how many ways to Kevin Bacon did they go to pull that one out of their AOC.

Nevertheless, the Democrats became known as the party that supported defunding police, and they actually did defund police. Democrats voted to defund police in New York City, Cook County, Illinois, and Portland, Oregon just to name a few jurisdictions.
What are the Democrats basing this lie on? Republicans voted against President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion “American Rescue Plan,” that he signed in March, even though it included $350 billion for state and local governments that could be used for local police.
And there’s the rub, the lie if you will. The Democrats are saying that the $1.9 trillion spending bill allotted some money for city and state governments, and even though none of that money was earmarked for police, just the self-evident fact that some of that money given to local governments could, I repeat, could be given to police, with Republicans voting against the monstrosity spending bill overall, the Democrats want you to believe that the GOP is for defunding police. Are you able to follow that bullschtein?

The Democrats are doing the same thing they did with the January 6 riot they call an insurrection that lasted all of two-and-a-half hours and no one there wanted to take over the government. They are pushing that narrative while at the same time dismissing the nightly riots that took place in Democrat-run cities across the country the entire summer of 2020. Now they want you to dismiss the fact that Democrat city councils and mayors voted to defund police and actually did defund police, they want to claim that Republicans defunded police by not voting for a bill that had no funding specifically for police in it.
“Well, the president did mention that the American Rescue Plan, the state and local funding, something that was supported by the president, a lot of Democrats who supported and voted for the bill, could help ensure local cops were kept on the beat in communities across the country. As you know, [it] didn’t receive a single Republican vote. That funding has been used to keep cops on the beat,” Psaki said.
“At the time, it was sold that local police departments might have pandemic-related budget shortfalls, not we need to keep cops on the beat because there’s a crime wave,” Doocy said. Doocy was probably the only real reporter in the room.
“I think that any local department would argue that keeping cops on the beat to keep communities safe when they had to, because of budget shortfalls, fire police is something that helped them address crime in their local communities,” Psaki said, later adding that “it was a pretty good bill and piece of legislation.”
But it is still a lie to say that Republicans rejecting a $1.9 trillion spending bill was meant to defund the police when there were no spending provisions for police in the whole piece of legislation.
Biden advisor Cedric Richmond argued against Republicans making that very point on “Fox News Sunday.”
“Let’s talk about who defunded the police. When we were in Congress last year trying to pass a rescue plan — I’m sorry, not the rescue plan but an emergency relief plan for cities that were cash-strapped and laying off police and firefighters — it was the Republicans who objected to it. And in fact, they didn’t get funding until the American Rescue Plan, which our plan allowed state and local governments to replenish their police departments and do the other things that are needed,” Richmond said.
“So look, Republicans are very good at staying on talking points of who says defund the police, but the truth is, they defunded the police, we funded crime intervention, and a whole bunch of other things,” he added.
The bottom line is the Democratic Party supported the Black Lives Matter calls for defunding police. They spoke about it often publicly and they acted on it with policies and legislation. Not a single Republican governor, mayor, city council member, or lawmaker jumped on the Defund the Police bandwagon.
The democrats are getting polling back that is telling them they are doomed for 2022 on how they handle crime, and so instead of being honest with the American people and saying they were wrong to support defunding police, that they were caught up in the fact that their constituents were out setting buildings on fire and looting those that were not throughout the entire summer of 2020, instead they figured they’d blame the Republicans for defunding the police. And they have a compliant media to back them on the new Big Lie.
To watch Jen Psaki stand there with a straight face repeating that lie makes you question her sanity. Is she a sociopath, a psychopath, or just a Democrat operative is up for grabs, but either way, she should not be representing the White House as press secretary because she’s a disgrace.
