Over the weekend, President Joe Biden made an effort to pre-blame Republicans for future inflation. But his attempt to make up his new world of the leftward land of silliness was quickly shut down.
Biden asserted that the Republicans’ plan included escalating inflation in a tweet on Sunday.

Biden is denying any fault for the inflation situation as Democrats struggle to win over those who care about economic concerns the most.
For instance, Biden launched a new attack on Republicans, claiming their program is worse for the American economy, following the release of the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics statistics showing that inflation is not decreasing but worsening.
“Republicans in Congress’ number one priority is repealing the Inflation Reduction Act. That’s the exact wrong thing to do in this moment,” Biden said on Thursday. “If Republicans take control of Congress, everyday costs will go up – not down.”
Biden also said on Thursday, “If Republicans win, inflation is going to get worse. It’s that simple.”
Inflation has risen under Biden’s leadership, not the Republicans’, as the House Republican caucus noted.
“This is a LIE. Biden & one-party Dem rule is responsible for America’s inflation crisis,” the House GOP said in response to Biden’s tweet.
“They have NO plan to fix it. When Biden took office inflation was at 1.4% today it is at 8.2%. It has skyrocketed because of their out-of-control spending to fuel their radical agenda,” the response added.

The inflation rate was roughly steady under former President Donald Trump, hovering around the Federal Reserve’s benchmark rate of 2%.
But inflation started rising fast and has stayed high ever since Biden’s COVID pandemic relief bill was passed into law in March 2021. According to economists, the bill overheated the economy.
Even the New York Times admitted on Sunday that “economists generally agree that the stimulus spending contributed to accelerating inflation” in a piece describing how Democrats aren’t making a big deal of Biden’s stimulus plan while out campaigning.
Democrats may be aware that voters associate Biden with the inflation crisis and that this association puts them at risk of losing elections given their failure to discuss it during the campaign.
