A report from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recommends that government authorities “promote or compel” disguising to combat “long COVID,” conveniently after the midterm elections.

I would argue that about 90% of the people who caught COVID wore a mask every single day. They just don’t work.
“The lifting of mask mandates and indifferent attitude toward masking and social distancing typical in many public and private places further isolates people with Long COVID,” according to the report, which advises government officials to “encourage or mandate policies and protocols regarding masking and social distancing in public spaces.”
OK, so if you believe in freedom, then people with long COVID should have the option of wearing a mask or not. That is the measure of freedom, to be able to make your own decision about your own body. Whatever happened to the Democrat slogan, my body, my choice? Well, we all know the answer to that. The Democrats do not believe in individual freedoms anymore.

“The pandemic is over. We still have a problem with Covid. We’re still doing a lot of work on it. It’s — but the pandemic is over. If you notice, no one’s wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think it’s changing. And I think this is a perfect example of it,” he said back in September.
The HHS report’s advice also follows Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) warning earlier this year that leftists would reimpose mandates “if they feel the need” after the midterm elections.
“The minute those elections are over, they will impose mandates if they feel the need to do that. They will impose restrictions,” DeSantis warned at a roundtable meeting in Doral, Florida, in March.
“And so that will happen. If those types of people are allowed to be put in power — my view on that is, they’ve put Fauci in the witness protection program because he will say, you know, no, you should still wear a mask, and he’s never going to say be normal, go back to normal. So they know that, and they know that that’s not what people want,” he added, underlining that “wrong to mandate people and restrict people.”
“And that will happen. I guarantee you, winter of 2022, any of those folks that are there, you are going to see that happen,” he said.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is also speaking out. She took to social media to say, “Biden’s HHS is trying to implement mask mandates again. Retweet if you’re not putting up with this nonsense anymore!”

I don’t think there are many people in this country left who believe that this administration and especially this president have our best intentions at heart. I believe there is something behind this mask mandate. Whether it’s the fact that they’re trying to gear up another scare to be able to say that there are so many people who are afraid of COVID that they have to vote by mail or not, there will always be another election just two years away. You always have a general election and then you have a midterm.
Judging by the Biden administration’s track record, they should not be trusted on anything they do from here on out. If you want to do a mask mandate, it has to be done by the states because mask mandates is not one of the enumerated powers of the federal government. And, just like in the states, if governors and mayors want to do a masked mandate, they have to go to their legislatures. No more of this allowing governors and mayors to take almighty power as a king or potentate to grind their own constituents down and force them to do things they don’t want to do. That is not the American way, and I hope the American people have learned a lesson from the COVID years that you do not allow them to get away with anything. You stop them in the beginning.
