The “non-binary” Biden administration official who was charged with offenses relating to expensive luggage thefts at an airport is now out of a job.
Sam Brinton worked in President Joe Biden‘s administration as the deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Nuclear Energy, but he was apparently sacked on Monday, according to multiple sources.

The DOE confirmed the report but provided no further specifics.
“Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee. By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters,” the official told the Daily Beast.
Brinton had been hailed as the first openly “gender fluid” person in a federal government job by the left and many in the media.

Brinton originally rejected the claim to officers before admitting it.
“If I had taken the wrong bag, I am happy to return it, but I don’t have any clothes for another individual,” Brinton told the cops. “That was my clothes when I opened the bag.”
Brinton informed police that the crime was motivated by “exhaustion”
Brinton may face up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine if found guilty of felony theft of movable property without consent. The incident’s first hearing is slated for December 19.
Brinton was subsequently charged with another comparable allegation of grand larceny with a value between $1,200 and $5,000 for an alleged occurrence at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport.
In a letter to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Republicans demanded Brinton’s resignation.
