Former Obama appointee and previous Government Ethics Office Director Walter Shaub said the discovery of classified materials in President Joe Biden‘s home and former office “reflects an inexcusable neglect” of basic security protocols.
OUCH! When a former Obama official comes at you like that, you know it’s the beginning of the end.

Shaub is correct, but not for the reasons he is lying about. President Trump had the legal right to declare what are presidential records that he could declassify and keep, unlike Biden, who served as a vice president when he stole the classified documents he got caught having. Biden did not have the authority to declassify and keep records. This is a big distinction that Democrats are refusing to acknowledge. Asserting executive privilege was Trump’s right as a former president. We learned that the National Archives wasn’t worried about Trump’s documents until Democrats in Congress began pressuring them to ask for the records.
The White House announced this month that classified materials from Biden’s time as vice president were discovered in his former office in November and in numerous locations in his Wilmington, Del., home in December and January. Biden’s lawyers found them just days before the midterm elections and waited to reveal the discovery until after the elections.
“The fact that the White House didn’t mention that records were found in more than one location when first asked about them was a breach of trust with the public and a self-inflicted wound,” Shaub said.

“Based on what we know so far, it seems unlikely that he’s at risk of any of legal consequences, but I’m glad Garland appointed a special counsel to show even-handed treatment of the current and former president,” he said, referring to the special counsel’s investigation into former President Donald Trump’s handling of classified documents discovered at Mar-a-Lago in August.
There is no even-handed treatment here. Trump never should have had a special counsel appointed. He did nothing wrong. As a president, Donald Trump had the legal authority to have the records at Mar-a-Lago. For goodness’ sake, Barack Obama is keeping classified records inside an abandoned furniture store with no security whatsoever and Shaub hasn’t even mentioned this. The double standard in DC is alive and thriving.
