Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) (AOC) and other Democrats were heckled at a press conference about the migrant crisis in New York City on Friday.
Protesters shouted, “Send them back!” and “Close the border!” as Democrats spoke outside the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, which has become a relief center for asylum seekers.

Here is a man who is showing his frustration with an administration in NYC and DC that blatantly shows they care more for the “Unregistered Democrats” than actual US citizens.

“What we seek to do is to make sure that all the resources are necessary and that we are joining with the city and state,” AOC said before the guy holding the megaphone shouted over her, saying, “Illegal immigration is not right! Respect the constitution, close the border!”
Representative Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) said the team went to “see for themselves what the migration dynamic is in our nation,” adding they saw children, families, “people that want to work, people that are fleeing violence, people that are fleeing environmental disasters.” He forgot to add, people who break our immigration laws, people who cost us millions of dollars.
He went on. “We see so many stories, heartbreaking stories manifest itself here. What I think, these are folks that will take New York City to a better place,” he remarked as many people shouted in the background.
“Every crisis presents great opportunity. There’s hope and opportunity in this building,” Espaillat added, emphasizing that “this is a contentious issue,” gesturing toward the protesters who broke out in another chant of “close the border!” Translation: Never let a good crisis go to waste. Exploit the living hell out of it for your own political benefit.
According to city officials, the Roosevelt Hotel serves as an arrival point for all migrants, where they may acquire meals, immunizations, and meet with caseworkers.
Along with AOC and Espaillat, the delegation included Democratic Representatives Veronica Escobar, Sylvia Garcia, and Joaquin Castro of Texas, Nydia Velazquez and Jerry Nadler of New York, Jes Garca, Delia Ramirez, and Mike Quigley of Illinois, Jimmy Gomez and Tony Cárdenas of California, and Rob Menendez of New Jersey.
“I think that there are three points of consensus here that are very important in getting a solution to that issue, “AOC said, despite the jeers. “The first is that there is consensus here across geographies and state on increased federal resources to cities and municipalities dealing with this issue.”
They would do better dealing with the issue if they told Joe Biden to close the border. But they won’t do that because they want the future votes. Why is it that Democrats create serious problems and then act like they are the ones who will solve what someone else caused? And their answer is always to throw more of your money at the problem.
“The second is to allow for work authorizations so that folks in here can get to work and start supporting themselves as soon as possible. They are prevented from getting jobs. They are prevented from employment and that is part of the strain on our public systems,” she noted. “The faster that folks can access the work that they’re asking for, legally, the better we can solve this problem.”
Why do Democrats always reward lawbreakers? These people ILLEGALLY crossed over our border and entered our country. Why give them a job? Kick them out of the country and tell them to come back in LEGALLY.
The third area of agreement, according to the dingbat AOC, is giving Temporary Protected Status to Venezuelans, who she says are the majority of those traveling here. Economic crises caused by the same socialism AOC and her Democratic cohorts want to foist on us, is no reason to treat illegal aliens better than the criminals they are.
Earlier this month, New York City Mayor Eric Adams made his most dire prediction yet for the fate of the Big Apple, which has seen an influx of over 110,000 migrants since last year.
“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City,” Adams said during an Upper West Side Town Hall meeting. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”
“We had a $12 billion deficit that we’re going to have to cut. Every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us,” Adams added. “It’s going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this. I said it last year when we had 15,000. I’m telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew we’re about to lose. And we’re all in this together.”
Adams still publicly blames Texas Governor Greg Abbott for shipping out thousands of illegals that invaded his border towns thanks to Joe Biden’s open border policies. He doesn’t have the guts to place blame where it belongs.
The people of New York would do much better by throwing out every Democrat in office in their next election. But that will never happen and so they will always claim that they are being oppressed. But you can’t claim to be oppressed if you keep voting for it, and they keep voting for it.
