Last October, top White House officials began a failed plan to fire press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for poor job performance, according to individuals who spoke with the New York Post’s Steven Nelson last week.
The scheme, purportedly devised by White House communications secretary Anita Dunn in the fall, appears to have failed when Jean-Pierre refused to quit her position, rejecting lucrative job prospects established by President Joe Biden’s advisers.

The White House’s top officials, including chief of staff Jeff Zients, reportedly knew about the scheme.
“Jeff and Anita were trying to find Karine a graceful exit” since they were concerned about terminating her. Jean-Pierre is the first black and openly homosexual press secretary. She is a historical figure. Ask her, and she’ll tell you.
Critics of Jean-Pierre have reportedly said that she relies too heavily on notes to respond to reporters in a timely manner that advances the administration’s objectives.

“She doesn’t have a grasp of the issues and doesn’t spend the time to learn,” remarked the individual in question.
The White House refuted the reports. However, the Post piece appears to substantiate previous claims of “turmoil and toxicity” in the White House. that may jeopardize the president’s campaign.
According to Axios, there is infighting and “tension” between Jean-Pierre and the National Security Council’s John Kirby over how much time each has to offer the establishment media with rehearsed public relations lines during press briefings.
The two team members are forced to collaborate because Biden “likes it,” according to the story.
