Well, well, well—looks like House Democrats are finally getting a taste of their own medicine. You see, for years, they’ve cheered on those resistance social justice warrior libnuts, encouraging their base to “fight back” and “hold the line.” But now? Now they’re drowning in a tsunami of phone calls from furious left-wing activists demanding that they resist Trump harder, faster, stronger.
And guess what? They’re not handling it well.
According to Breitbart News, Congressional Democrats have been left “powerless and frustrated” as their constituents bombard them with calls demanding they take a harder stance against Trump. Turns out, the people who put them in office aren’t exactly thrilled with their lack of results. Who knew?
Lawmakers told Axios that the flood of angry calls was completely out of their control. They’re trying to remind their voters that—surprise!—they lost the House. Maybe, just maybe, that limits their ability to do whatever they want.
But that hasn’t stopped the resistance from lighting up their office lines like a Christmas tree.
“Some staffers said they hadn’t seen this many calls since seminal events like the Oct. 7 attack, the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, or even the Trump impeachment proceedings.”
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELTranslation: The hysteria is reaching record-breaking levels.
Aaron Fritschner, a spokesperson for Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA), confirmed the chaos, saying his office’s phones have been “ringing off the hook without pause since we opened yesterday morning.”
Meanwhile, over on social media platforms like X and Bluesky, another beleaguered aide confirmed that Democrats are getting obliterated by their own side: “Every Dem is getting lit up by the neo-resistance folks being like ‘do more!'”
Yes, that’s an actual quote. Not do something, not take action—just “do more.” Inspiring stuff.
House Democrats vs. The Monster They Created
In a very productive closed-door meeting, House Democrats decided to do what they do best—blame someone else. This time, they pointed the finger at far-left activist groups like MoveOn and Indivisible, which have been riling up their base and urging people to flood congressional offices with demands.
“People are pissed,” a senior House Democrat confessed to Axios, adding that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is “very frustrated” with the relentless barrage of phone calls.
Gee, it’s almost like encouraging political outrage as a strategy has some long-term consequences. Who could’ve seen this coming?
According to Axios, that same closed-door meeting quickly turned into a full-on gripe-fest about grassroots liberal organizations.
“There were a lot of people who were like, ‘We’ve got to stop the groups from doing this.’ … People are concerned that they’re saying we’re not doing enough, but we’re not in the majority,” one Democrat complained.
So to recap: The Democrats whipped their base into a frenzy, convinced them they could stop Trump no matter what, and are now shocked—shocked, I tell you!—that their own voters refuse to accept political reality.
Meanwhile, Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) would like you to know that he is personally offended by the mere suggestion that Democrats aren’t trying hard enough.
“I reject and resent the implication that congressional Democrats are simply standing by passively,” Torres fumed.
Yeah, sure. They’re not passive—they’re just… unable to do anything. Totally different.
I have a friend who is on MoveOn’s email list and sends me some of the more radical emails received. My friend is a Republican politician and signed up just to know what the radical woke Marxists are thinking from a “know thy enemy” position. Let me tell you, these people are just plain nuts. They blatantly lie to their subscribers in every email. It’s either that or they are so ingrained in the arts of the Leftward Land of Silliness that they don’t know any better.
Activists: Less Elon Musk Speeches, More Action
Leah Greenberg, co-founder of Indivisible, summed up the growing frustration among activists:
“People want to see more from their lawmakers right now than floor speeches about Elon Musk.”
Oof. That one has to sting. It’s almost like people are starting to notice that their representatives spend more time tweeting about billionaires than, you know, legislating.
Greenberg further explained Indivisible’s strategy, saying:
“Indivisible is urging people who are scared to call their member of Congress, whether they have a Democrat or Republican, and make specific procedural asks.”
In other words: Call, annoy, and don’t stop until something happens.
She added:
“Our supporters are asking Democrats to demand specific red lines are met before they offer their vote to House Republicans on the budget, when Republicans inevitably fail to pass a bill on their own.”
Translation: Make Republicans’ lives miserable, and if that means also making Democrats miserable, so be it.
As for MoveOn? They’re staying real quiet. No comment. Probably too busy coming up with the next big Resistance™ hashtag.
So, to sum up: House Democrats helped create the activist beast, but now that it’s turned on them, they want it leashed. Unfortunately for them, the same outrage machine they relied on for years isn’t listening anymore.
And the best part? They’re stuck with it.
