The Georgia Senate launched an investigation into Stacey Abrams and her nonprofit, The New Georgia Project, for illegally raising money and spending it on Abrams’ campaigns. Nonprofits are not allowed to spend money on political campaigns.
Atlanta News First reported:
“Abrams and the New Georgia Project, with which she is no longer affiliated, are being investigated by the same Senate panel that has been examining Fulton County DA Fani Willis’ historic indictment of Donald Trump while he was out of the Oval Office.”
“The Senate committee will focus on alleged campaign finance violations and possibly the recent New Georgia Project firings allegedly tied to efforts to unionize the voting rights organization.” – Atlanta News First Facebook post.
Francys Johnson, who headed the New Georgia Project, has resigned after the nonprofit was fined a record $300,000 for illegal campaign spending. Two-time loser and record setting whiner, Stacey Abrams founded the nonprofit in 2013 to get out the Black vote. She keeps saying that her losses were due to voter suppression even though Black voters are seeing record numbers in Georgia.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported last month:
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELThe commission’s investigation, which lasted five years, revealed that the organization raised $4.2 million in dark money and spent $3.2 million on campaign activities.
The Justice Department needs to investigate Stacey Abrams for crimes related to another nonprofit linked to her that is under fire for a dubious cash infusion from Joe Biden’s EPA.
Earlier this month Elon Musk’s DOGE discovered that Joe Biden’s EPA awarded $2 billion to a firm linked to failed Democrat Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
Even worse, the firm only reported $100 in revenue in its first three months in business in 2023.
It was revealed that $2 billion of the $20 billion recovered by Lee Zeldin was awarded to Power Forward Communities, a brand new nonprofit linked to Stacey Abrams, according to the Free Beacon.
How did a brand new firm that only reported $100 in revenue get awarded $2 billion?
A Georgia state Senate committee wants to investigate former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and a voter registration nonprofit to which she is tied.
Republicans in the Senate say Senate Resolution 292 will look into recent ethics findings that voter participation group New Georgia Project improperly coordinated with Abrams’ 2018 campaign for governor.
The panel also wants to probe claims by new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin that $2 billion was distributed at the tail end of the Biden administration to a coalition of groups trying to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, including Power Forward Communities. Abrams worked with Power Forward until the end of last year.
The Georgia Senate’s investigation into Stacey Abrams and her nonprofit, The New Georgia Project, exposes yet another example of Democrats skirting campaign finance laws. With millions in dark money allegedly funneled into her political campaigns and a suspicious $2 billion Biden-era payout to a nonprofit linked to Abrams, the corruption is undeniable. As more details emerge, the question remains—will there be accountability, or will this be another case of Democrat privilege protecting its own?
