EPA Chief Lee Zeldin asked an inspector general to investigate the $20 billion ‘gold bars’ heist by Joe Biden’s EPA.
Zeldin wrote:
“I just had this letter sent to the EPA Office of the Inspector General concerning the Biden EPA “Gold Bars” scheme.”
“Recent findings reveal a pattern of reckless financial management, blatant conflicts of interest, astonishing sums of tax dollars awarded to unqualified recipients, and severe deficiencies in regulatory oversight under the prior administration.”
“Given the severity of the alleged misconduct, waste, conflicts of interest, and potential fraud within the GGRF program, the Administrator is conducting a comprehensive review. Concurrent investigations by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are underway.”
The $20 billion boondoggle was discovered after Project Veritas made a recording of Brent Efron, a special advisor at the EPA and instrumental in implementing Biden’s climate agenda, explaining how the Biden Administration had set up money for bogus global warming before President Trump took office. Citibank has frozen the money until it is determined where it should go.

“Now it’s how to get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump Administration] come in … It truly feels like we’re on the Titanic or throwing gold bar off the top edge.”
Last month Lee Zeldin said his team at the EPA ‘found the gold bars.:
“Following this revelation, during my meetings with members of Congress, I made a very important commitment to them and to the American people.”
“Fortunately, my awesome team at the EPA has found the gold bars. Shockingly, roughly $20 billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA. This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history and it was purposely designed to obligate all of the money in a rush job with reduced oversight.”
Zeldin said the $20 billion was:
“awarded to just 8 entities that were then responsible for doling out your money to NGOs and others at their discretion with far less transparency. Just under $7 billion was sent to one entity called the Climate United Fund.”
“The financial agent agreement with the bank needs to be instantly terminated and the bank must immediately return all the gold bars that the Biden Administration tossed off the Titanic. EPA needs to assume responsibility of all these funds. We will review every penny that has gone out the door. I will be referring this matter to the inspector general’s office and will work with the Justice Department as well.”
“We gave them [nonprofits, states, tribes] the money because… it was an insurance policy against Trump winning. Because they aren’t [a government agency], they’re safer from Republicans taking the money away,” Efron said.
Efron also discusses the EPA’s strategy of using nonprofits as a shield against Republican policies, and hints at the potential personal benefits awaiting him post-tenure.
“Over the last year we’ve given out $50 billion dollars for climate things…so to go work for one of these places would be really cool.”
