There they go again. The Democrats are conspiring to put lawfare into action against DOGE and Elon Musk. And why not? It worked so well against President Trump. There is apparently a secret agreement between 14 blue states, left-wing groups, and New York law firms looking to bury cost-cutting initiatives and allow the massive fraud that eats away on taxpayer money. Why would Democrats do that unless they’re getting a big slice of the pie?
Just how stupid do they think taxpayers are? Oh, sure, many Democratic voters will be fooled, but their numbers are dwindling rapidly as the young, Blacks, and Hispanics are moving to the right and Trump is deporting many of the rest. Do they believe that voters will conclude that exposing fraud and waste is a bad thing? Especially if they end up with $5,000 checks? Somehow I don’t think so.
DOGE alleges that they have already saved $105 billion in a “combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings and unnecessary government employees. There are already a dozen or so lawsuits against DOGE and until the Supreme Court wakes up and follows the Constitution by recognizing that the president is in charge of the executive branch, that number will rise dramatically.
The agreement obtained by the Oversight Project was signed less than a month after DOGE was created:
“The Parties have agreed that they have a common interest in developing legal strategies to challenge the creation and actions of the Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”) and a common interest in existing or future investigative, regulatory, administrative, and judicial actions or inactions, including but not limited to any administrative or judicial proceedings related to or arising from those legal strategies (“Matters of Common Interest”).”
“This Common Interest Agreement (“Agreement”) is made and entered into by and between the States of New Mexico, Arizona, Michigan, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington and State Democracy Defenders Fund (the “Parties”). The Parties have agreed that they have a common interest in developing legal strategies to challenge the creation and actions of the Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”) and the actions of Elon Musk as a special government employee and a common interest in existing or future investigative, regulatory, administrative, and judicial actions or inactions, including but not limited to any administrative or judicial proceedings related to or arising from those legal strategies (“Matters of Common Interest”).”
