According to a recent survey, Dr. Mehmet Oz, a Republican running for the Pennsylvania Senate, is ahead of John Fetterman, a Democrat.
With only two weeks until the 2022 midterm elections, the poll of 1,013 potential voters, taken between October 9 and 13, by the market research firm Wick, indicated that Oz, the well-known heart surgeon, is ahead of Fetterman, the lieutenant governor, by 4.5 points. Given that Oz has trailed Fetterman in the polls for the majority of the cycle, the survey suggests that he may be breaking through a polling wall.
The poll shows that Oz is ahead of Fetterman 49.1% to 44.6%. Another 3.4% will cast their ballots for someone else, and 2.9% are still unsure. Oz has a commanding advantage among these undecided voters, 59% to 41%.
The poll also revealed that Republican Doug Mastriano and Democrat Josh Shapiro are neck-and-neck for the Pennsylvania governor’s seat. The poll’s 3.1% margin of error is well within Shapiro’s 48.5%-46.4% lead over Mastriano. Additionally, Mastriano has a minor advantage over Shapiro with 50.9% of undecided voters switching sides, compared to 49.1% for Shapiro.
A second poll that was conducted after the one by Wick revealed that the race was actually deadlocked. According to an InsiderAdvantage/Fox29 News poll, Oz and Fetterman were neck-and-neck with 46% of the vote each. According to InsiderAdvantage chairman Matt Towery, self-described independent voters, who are breaking for Oz by twenty points, are substantially responsible for Oz’s surge.
“Oz is also picking an unusually high 14% of the African American vote and Asians and Hispanics prefer Oz[,] say they are voting for Oz by a wide margin,” Towery added. “Fetterman continues to enjoy a ten-point lead among female voters, while men prefer Oz at that same rate.”

Shapiro currently has a 49% to 22% advantage over Mastriano, with 6% of voters remaining uncertain, although Towery noted that Mastriano is benefiting from a comparable surge of support from self-described independents: According to the poll, 18% of independents are switching to the Republican party.
In both elections, undecided voters might strongly favor the Republicans. Only 44% of voters think highly of Democratic President Joe Biden, while nearly 55% think poorly of him.
The Trafalgar Group and The Daily Wire poll earlier this month, which revealed that the race was considerably closer than conventional polling had been showing, before the current poll. According to the poll, Fetterman defeated Oz by a margin of 47.2% to 44.8%, with 4% of respondents still uncertain.
“We’ve always thought this race was a two or three-point race, and everybody else has finally come to join us on that conclusion,” Trafalgar Group founder and senior strategist Robert Cahaly said..
Robert Cahaly, the group’s founder and chief strategist, said to The Daily Wire. Due to worries about Fetterman’s health and background, particularly in regards to matters like crime, the contest had become significantly more competitive. “The thought that your senator cannot hear spoken information and process it and make an argument is actually of great concern to people,” he said.
“What we’re seeing is people begin to realize what his record says … and people have a real problem with it,” Cahaly added. “Whether it’s his position to legalize drugs, including heroin, or getting rid of bail and letting people out of jails.”
Surprisingly, the black community is also supporting Oz in a big way. While the majority of Republicans only received 20% of the black vote, Oz received 30%. “And that is completely unique to any other race that we’re watching,” Cahaly said.

Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
