President Joe Biden lost his balance once again on Wednesday, tripping up the steps of Air Force One on his way home from Poland.
As he attempted to board the jet at Warsaw Chopin Airport, Biden, 80, fell forward approximately halfway up the stairs. The president quickly stood back up and proceeded to the door, waving briefly before entering the plane’s cabin.
This is at least the third time the president has fallen while attempting to board Air Force One. Biden fell twice before collapsing while attempting to leave for Georgia in March 2021. At the time, then-White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed the presidential stumble on an untimely blast of wind. So he can’t climb stairs and fart at the same time? #EyeRoll
Last May, Biden appeared to lose his balance while walking up the Air Force One steps at Andrews Air Force Base on his way to Illinois. On that occasion, the president caught himself in time to avoid a fall and grabbed the handrail hard with his right hand as he proceeded to the plane.
The following month, the president struggled up the steps again before flying to Los Angeles for the Summit of the Americas and an interview with “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Republicans have addressed Biden’s tripping up stairs as evidence that he is not physically or psychologically fit for the post as the oldest president in history. During a physical examination of Biden last week, White House doctor Kevin O’Connor wrote in a five-page report that the president has a stiff walk due to “significant spinal arthritis, mild post-fracture foot arthritis and a mild sensory peripheral neuropathy of the feet.”
O’Connor offered no opinion of Biden’s cognitive condition in his report, which several Republicans in Congress had asked about in recent months.
