Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy stated on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday that he would not let former President Donald Trump “get away” with skipping the Republican Party’s primary debates.
“If Donald Trump doesn’t do debates, will you not support him if he’s the nominee?” host Chuck Todd, possibly one of the dullest and dumbest misinformation fake news media hosts, questioned.
I’m sorry, but I give no reverence to the fake news media who always feel it is their mission when moderating a GOP primary debate to go out of their way to frame each and every Republican primary candidate as a criminal, evil, or just plain stupid. Chuck Todd seems to be one of those types of moderators.
Ramaswamy stated, “I’m not going to let him get away with that.”
“What does that mean?” Dumb Dumb asked. “He can do what he wants to do.”
“I don’t think the other candidates, including Donald Trump,” Ramaswamy added, “are going to relish being on that debate stage with me.”
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL“What people gave him credit for was that he was [an] outsider and a disrupter.” he continued. “I’m the outsider in this race. And I think that if you want to be like Joe Biden, an existing establishment that doesn’t want to debate, I think people are hungry for new blood.”
“What should the party use as leverage to force him to show up?” Todd wondered.
“I think it’s the voters,” Ramaswamy remarked. “It’s my job and the job of candidates that if you want someone sitting across the table from Xi Jinping, if you want someone with a spine to take on the state at the top of the agenda, you better not be scared to show up on the debate stage.”
That’s all well and good for Ramaswamy trying to score some political points. The problem for him is he fell for Chuck Todd’s trap. Trump has already said that he will definitely debate in a primary race, but he will only debate the top-tier people. He said he doesn’t want to waste his time on a bunch of low-rent candidates who will fade in time.
Ramaswamy could make it to the top tier. I like him a lot. But I like him as a cabinet member under a Trump administration. If Trump were not running, I would take him more seriously. But contrary to what he said about being an outsider, Donald Trump is still seen as an outsider to the Washington, DC Swamp. When the DC Swamp is still going after you even though you’re not in office, it means you’re the ultimate outsider.
