Among the harshest critics of Representative Adam Kinzinger’s public break with Donald Trump are his own family members, based on a handwritten letter that the Illinois Republican received from 11 relatives after calling for Trump’s removal over the Capitol riot last month. “Oh my, what a disappointment you are to us and to God!” they wrote. “You have embarrassed the Kinzinger family name!” Written by Kinzinger’s cousin Karen Otto and signed by several others, some of whom recently disowned Kinzinger, the New York Times reports, the two-page letter shows the extent to which disavowing Trump is perceived as a personal betrayal among Republicans—in this case quite literally. In addition to the letter sent via certified mail to Kinzinger’s father so as to guarantee the congressman saw it, Otto reportedly sent copies to Republicans across Illinois. “I wanted Adam to be shunned,” she told the Times.
The letter, complete with Biblical citations, enumerated grievances, and gratuitous exclamation points, criticized the six-term congressman for going “against your Christian principles and [joining] the ‘devil’s army’ (Democrats and the fake news media).” In an apparent effort to illustrate how gravely Kinzinger had erred, the letter rattled off a cast of right-wing media figures whose respect he had lost, including Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity, Greg Kelly, and Rush Limbaugh. Kinzinger told the Times that the letter-writers in his family are beset by “brainwashing” from conservative churches and that while he “[holds] nothing against them,” he has “zero desire” to “reach out and repair that.” He also tweeted about the letter on Sunday:

Representative Adam Kinzinger (RINO-IL) recently put out a video where he claimed his children will be “proud have his last name” while other Republicans’ children will be “ashamed of them.” It’s just another attempt to gaslight conservative Americans the way that Liz Cheney and other Democrats have done since January 6.
According to NBC News, Kinzinger said, “I have zero regrets. And I know my kid, I know this, he will be proud to have the last name. And a lot of my colleagues will have kids that’ll be ashamed of them.”

This is how crazy the Democrats have made Kinzinger. He insulted children of his Republican colleagues, saying that they would be ashamed of their parents, in essence, publicly telling the children that they have parents who are bad people simply because they didn’t buy into the lies and deceitfulness of the Democrats. That takes a lot of gall.
Like Cheney, Kinzinger went all in on the January 6 Committee, allowing lies and manipulation of so-called “evidence” against the former president knowing full well there is no evidence that Trump planned, let alone incited, a riot at the Capitol building on January 6. They cherry-picked information to present to the public while at the same time they trashed exculpatory evidence that clearly showed Trump was innocent of what the committee was saying about him and that fateful day. For example, Kinzinger went along with Liz Cheney’s description of Trump sitting around for hours watching the riot on television and doing nothing to stop it. The reality is within 20 minutes the former president put out a video on all social media calling for peace, asking people to go home and to respect law enforcement. And even though the same social media sites that were working with Democrats and crooked, dare I say criminal, FBI agents, to censor MAGA conservatives, went ahead and immediately censored Trump’s video calling for peace, Kinzinger never corrected Cheney for the record. He is ask despicable as Cheney and the Democrats.
In fact, now that we have proof that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was involved in the creation and editing of the January 6 security plan, I if Adam is rethinking his attacks on his colleague’s and their children.
Kinzinger read the tea leaves and realized he was not going to win reelection, so he announced he was not seeking another term. Liz Cheney was primaried and lost by 40 points. Everyone saw that coming.
The two RINOs had terrible voting scores. According to the website Conservative Review, where they score members of Congress for how they have voted in the current session, based on whether their votes were for or against liberty and freedom, Cheney and Kinzinger failed miserably:
The lesson here, which I can almost guarantee that neither of the two have realized yet, is that they didn’t just go against Donald Trump. They went against the whole Trump movement, which is a nationalist populist conservative movement that cared about the middle-class and working-class Americans who have been screwed over by backroom deals baked in Washington, DC, where they sent their jobs overseas for their own political and/or financial gains.
