Sen. Chuck Grassley and Rep James Comer claim they have a whistleblower that has come forward, claiming that the FBI has evidence that Joe Biden made a deal for selling policy for cash. Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) are demanding that the FBI turn over to them an FBI-generated FD-1023 form, allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions.
Grassley said:
“We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States. What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further. The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight.”
Comer said:
“The information provided by a whistleblower raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national. The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself. Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people.”
Grassley has long raised concerns about political bias infecting high-level investigative decisions at the FBI, including investigations related to the Biden family’s foreign business arrangements and bank records. While FBI Director Christopher Wray pledged to prevent any retaliation targeting whistleblowers, the FBI and Justice Department have thus far refused to voluntarily provide responsive records or answers to congressional inquiries related to its handling of these politically sensitive investigations.
Comer and the Oversight Committee are investigating the Biden family’s suspicious business schemes to determine if the Biden family has been targeted by foreign actors, if President Biden is compromised, and if there is a national security threat. The Oversight Committee has obtained thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family and their associates’ business transactions. Recently, the Committee revealed one deal that resulted in several members of the Biden family and their companies receiving over $1 million in more than 15 incremental payments from a Chinese company through a third party.
The subpoena requires the FBI to produce in unredacted form all FD-1023s that contain the word “Biden” and all accompanying attachments and documents.
Grassley and House Committee on Oversight James Comer (R-KY) said in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray that:
“It has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions.”
Grassley said that if the FBI and DOJ do not produce the records, it hurts their credibility:
“I would hope they’d want to enhance their credibility by cooperating with us on this.”
“And that’s what this is all about. And, you know, over several years, I’ve made accusations about this situation or another crime being committed or another political interference and never once has the FBI or the Department of Justice challenged my authenticity on what I bring up to them. And even though they don’t challenge it, I don’t get the information I want that would clear everything up. And it’s — and I think it really hurts the FBI, its credibility. It hurts the DOJ credibility if they don’t cooperate. So I would hope they’d want to enhance their credibility by cooperating with us on this.”
