The founder of Project Veritas, James O’Keefe has resigned because employees complained about him, but what are they going to do when PV goes under and they lose their jobs? The site exists only through generous gifts from their donors and the donors are unhappy with the board and they have said they will not contribute another dime until O’Keefe is reinstated. That will never happen now. O’Keefe has resigned and that ends the debate.
O’Keefe hinted in his resignation announcement that he will start a new organization and you can bet your last dollar that the donors will follow him. O’Keefe was PJ and without him, they will try to muddle through, but I have serious doubts that they will make it through the end of this year. Under O’Keefe, the organization did great work and it was his appeals for money that kept the doors open. I just think those doors will swing shut.
O’Keefe said in a video:
“I was stripped of all decision-making last week.”
“Currently, I have no job at Project Veritas. I have no position here based upon what the board has done — so I’m announcing to you all that today, on President’s Day, I’m packing up my personal belongings here.”
R.C. Maxwell, a spokesman for Project Veritas, said that the board had removed O’Keefe as CEO. I suggest you dust off your resumes and start mailing them out immediately.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELIn O’Keefe’s resignation announcement, he said that he had been removed from the CEO job and from the board of directors. He claims he issued an ultimatum to the board to resign which they ignored. He was told that he would be removed as CEO for at least 180 days from a group he founded and built.
He made an ominous statement that should worry the board and the whiny employees of PJ:
“Our mission continues on. I’m not done. The mission will perhaps take on a new name.”

Word of internal strife at Project Veritas burst into the public’s view when New York Magazine’s Intelligencer website reported on February 8 that O’Keefe took a paid leave from his leadership position while the board weighed his future with the company.
Around this time, it was revealed that 16 staffers signed a letter, dated February 6, raising several allegations against O’Keefe, including that he was “outright cruel” to members of the group. “James has become a power drunk tyrant and he is exactly who he pontificates on who we should be exposing,” the letter said.
Project Veritas released a statement on the evening of February 8, saying it was broadly in response to news reports.
The Project Veritas Board of Directors and Management “are constantly evaluating what the best path forward is for the organization,” the statement read, in part. The statement, which noted Project Veritas has 65-plus employees, did not directly address the situation involving O’Keefe.
With O’Keefe’s future at Project Veritas in question, Twitter user “Swig” shared an image of a cease-and-desist letter from a law firm representing donors addressed to the Project Veritas Board of Directors raising concerns about any effort to remove the founder.
Strack released another statement on February 15 asserting James had not been removed from Project Veritas. “James is the hardest working person I have ever met,” Strack said. “Those who know him well know that he will not take time off unless forced to.”
Ah, Project Veritas, I knew you well, but soon you will be but a memory.
Would you hire anyone from PJ now? Relax, you have a bright future at McDonald’s.
