Vice President Kamala Harris confessed to a small gathering of supporters Friday that food prices have been “too high” under the Biden/Harris regime.
“We all know that prices went up during the pandemic when supply chains shut down and failed, but our supply chains have now improved, and prices are still too high,” the 59-year-old Democratic presidential contender said during a campaign event in Raleigh, North Carolina, unveiling her new economic strategy. The strategy seems to be that she admits she and her boss screwed things up badly for most Americans, but if you just elect her in November, she knows how to fix it. I can guarantee you that not a single fake news reporter will ask her, so how come you don’t just fix it now? I guess she has to be president to get that kind of mojo. #eyeroll
“A loaf of bread costs 50% more today than it did before the pandemic,” Harris continued, confirming one of former President Donald Trump’s key campaign messaging points: the economy was considerably better off during his reign.
“Ground beef is up almost 50%,” she remarked, causing someone in the small audience to exclaim, “Wow.”
This is all due to the Biden/Harris regime and the Democrats that controlled Congress in the beginning spending an ungodly amount of money that led to high inflation, which is cumulative, something Kamala Harris apparently doesn’t understand.
The 59-year-old vice president blamed rising food prices on “bad actors,” including “big food companies,” which she claimed are “seeing their highest profits in two decades,” and “grocery store chains,” who are reportedly “not passing the savings” to customers.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELThis just shows Harris’s ignorance of how an economy works. Companies manufactured products under high inflation, which means the cost of those products has to remain high or else they wouldn’t make a profit and would go out of business. Only an economically illiterate person would think that when supply chains improve and the rate of rising inflation goes down, businesses will lower their prices.
Harris referenced inflation only once during her speech, when she praised the most recent economic data showing it was “down under 3%.”
Under Biden, 81, the United States experienced inflation rates unprecedented in 40 years, culminating at 9.1% in June 2022. Like I said, inflation is cumulative, which means instead of bragging that inflation is at 3%, the Biden/Harris regime really has 12.1% inflation.
Harris revealed her economic plan for the first 100 days of her presidency if elected at a much smaller event than most of her prior rallies, which have been crowded since she was chosen to replace Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee.
According to WBTV, the Harris campaign estimated that barely 250 people attended the afternoon event at Wake Tech Community College.
As part of her controversial economic program, she suggested the “first-ever federal ban on price [gouging] on food” and a $25,000 giveaway to first-time homebuyers. She actually said “gauging” because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
God help us if this woman is elected over Trump.
