Former CNN “anchor” Don Lemon has accused social media platform X of canceling a relationship with his show before its premiere due to a “tense” interview with CEO Elon Musk.
What Sour Lemon calls a tense interview was in reality a hit job by Lemon, with leftist conspiracy accusations against the owner of the platform who let him run a show on the platform, paying him at the premiere monetization program, the same one Tucker Carlson enjoys.
Lemon, who was sacked from CNN in April, announced earlier this year that he would host a new show on X three times a week, with 30-minute episodes covering politics, sports, culture, and entertainment.
I think Tucker allowed him on the platform just to show that he was open to all sides of the political spectrum.
The first and apparently only episode, set to air on March 18, will feature an interview with Musk, which Lemon claims is why X tore up a supposed cooperation agreement.
In a statement released Wednesday, the former host claims he agreed to join X with a new show after Mr. Musk openly urged him.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL“There were no restrictions on the interview that he willingly agreed to, and my questions were respectful and wide-ranging, covering everything from SpaceX to the presidential election,” Lemon said in a statement.
That’s a lie, right there. In the trailer for the interview, it’s clear that Lemon was accusing Musk of being a racist, allowing hateful speech on the platform as if Musk agrees with all of it, and other despicable lies.
Lemon comes from CNN, a network that does “gotcha” journalism on anyone to the right of Vladimir Lenin. He can’t help himself. It’s one thing to ask hard-hitting questions, but you should know your audience.
Here is a trailer for the episode:

After watching the trailer, don’t you think Lemon should have known from Musk’s response that his show was on shaky grounds?
“Clearly, he felt differently. His commitment to a global town square where all questions can be asked and all ideas can be shared seems not to include questions of him from people like me.”
He never thought Lemon would ask leftist gotcha questions based not on facts but on straight-up leftist ideology of hate against conservatism, which includes people who support free speech.
Like talking about the Great Replacement Theory as if Musk or conservatives are the ones pushing it. Leftists and Democrats have been talking about the Great Replacement Theory for years now. They brag about it on news shows all the time. The only time they call it the Great Replacement Theory is when they are accusing conservatives of creating a conspiracy theory about it. When they talk about it, they say, “Demographics are destiny.”

Lemon, a self-proclaimed free speech “absolutist,” claims that Mr. Musk was “mad” with him after the interview and abruptly ended their cooperation hours later.
“I made the decision to work with them in a unique partnership that I believed would ultimately ensure that my work would be available to the most people in the largest possible venue,” Lemon said in a statement.
“I took Elon and his management team’s word that they, for the first time, were interested in working with new and diverse voices.” At the same time, an X spokesman provided a different version of events via one of the platform’s official accounts.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the social media platform spokesman asserts that there was no official collaboration with Don Lemon and that it has now been decided not to get into one.
“The Don Lemon Show is welcome to publish its content on X without censorship, as we believe in providing a platform for creators to scale their work and connect with new communities,” the company stated in a statement.
“However, like any enterprise, we reserve the right to make decisions about our business partnerships, and after careful consideration, X decided not to enter into a commercial partnership with the show.”
No other information was supplied concerning the circumstances or Lemon’s allegations. However, the X spokesman emphasized the platform’s dedication to “free speech” and pride in providing “an open environment for diverse voices and perspectives.”
So, it’s not like Musk kicked Lemon off the platform, so he is free to continue trashing it. He’s just not going to get the money or other perks like better promotion for the show, etc.
Musk had already invited Lemon to the platform. At the time, The Don Lemon Show was also scheduled to “run exclusively first” on X.
X has also become home to former Fox News primetime personality Tucker Carlson, who was ousted from the network in April 2023, at the same time CNN fired Lemon. Following his departure from Fox News, Carlson announced his move to X in May, praising Mr. Musk’s efforts to promote free and honest debate.
