The ACLU, which I believe should stand for the American Criminal Liberties Union, has a strange habit of always being on the wrong side of an argument as far as most Americans are concerned.
The ACLU of Colorado on Wednesday tweeted out an incredibly controversial message.
“BREAKING: We’re suing Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) after they refused to provide top surgery for our 18-year-old transgender plaintiff — all while doing the same surgeries for cisgender patients. This is discrimination — full stop.”

The commies at the ACLU of Colorado are saying that gender mutilation surgeries for people who suffer from gender dysphoria are no different from women with breast cancer having a double mastectomy surgery.
It was a breathtaking statement to put in the tweet.
Zarachry Elliott replied and explained what I think all of us thought the first time we heard i:
“One’s medically necessary because of life-threatening cancer. The other is entirely elective and not medically necessary because the trans identified patients requesting those surgeries have perfectly healthy bodies. They have a psychological issue, not a physical one. How is that even remotely the same?”

How is…

It seems to me like the leftists are trying to denigrate women once again in favor of people who suffer from mental illness.
A user who goes by Kaida replied to Zachary:
“You are correct. However, the ACLU is not referring to life-threatening cancer, or any other medical reason to get a double mastectomy. The ACLU is referring to the archaic practice of unnecessary cosmetic procedures performed upon those with ambiguous genitalia,”

More people chimed in to let their disgust known.
“How do you live with yourselves? Appalling and abhorrent to advocate for the removal of healthy body parts.”

“You’re absolutely disgusting. Seeing professionals who won’t mutilate a healthy child and commandeering the tragedies of what breast cancer does to women for your own political agenda. You are evil.”

“Medically necessary and elective are two different things. I’m sure you will argue “they will die without an elective mastectomy,” but that is a mental health issue that needs to be appropriately addressed.”

“What an absolutely disgraceful framing. If the patient had cancer they would obviously provide it, whether or not they were trans. Categorizing breast cancer patients as “cis” in order to claim discrimination is low. Cancer is not specific to “cis” people.”
