The US Secret Service has once again left former President Donald Trump susceptible to an attack after a female agent reportedly left her post to breastfeed her infant during an event in Asheville, North Carolina, on Wednesday. No, I am not kidding.
You would think after the Butler, PA incident, where the protectee, Donald Trump, was shot in the head, that the Secret Service would be more inclined to follow every procedure by the book and to be on their toes. But not this bunch. We are now entering the realm of the unprofessional. So now they are incompetent and unprofessional.
According to Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics, the site agent in charge of managing all security for the event made one final sweep of the pedestrian route shortly before Trump’s limousine arrived, citing “three sources in the Secret Service community.”
During this last-minute security check, the site agent saw a female Secret Service agent breastfeeding her infant in a room designated for “important Secret Service official work,” including a probable emergency involving the president, Crabtree stated.
Now, I would say that breastfeeding a baby is important work and it is official when it’s the mother who’s doing the nursing, but it is highly unprofessional to leave your post as the Secret Service agent on a security detail for a former president and probably the next president.
Secret Service agents on duty are not permitted to bring their children to a protective assignment, Crabtree noted.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELNot only did the female agent appear to violate that rule, but she was also accompanied by two members of her family who may not have been vetted. I am wondering if this Secret Service agent was a DEI hire. I know that blaming DEI is the latest joke going across the country, but the reality is that when you look at people’s gender and skin color over their ability to do the job, this is what you get.
According to Crabtree’s account, the agent, her two relatives, and allegedly her infant were carried to the secure area by a “unpinned” staff member after bypassing the Uniformed Division gate. “Unpinned” indicates that the Secret Service has not granted the individual permission to be there.
Crabtree would not reveal the female agent’s identity but did state that she is from the Atlanta Field Office.
It is unknown where the agent was assigned to attend the Asheville event, as well as whether another agent replaced her.
When asked about the event, Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi told Crabtree: “All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards. While there was no impact on the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.” How on God’s green and blue Earth is this a personal matter? Because she was nursing her baby that doesn’t make this a personal matter. This is a Secret Service in federal government matter. Is a lack of concern for your job matter.
This apparent security lapse by the Secret Service is only the latest in a string of security failings by the agency, all of which have been thoroughly recorded by Blaze News, and appear to have led to 20-year-old Thomas Crooks firing multiple bullets at Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
One of those rounds came within millimeters of killing the former president, piercing his right ear rather than his skull. Former fire chief Corey Comperatore died as a result of another shooting. Two others were badly injured. The protectee was shot!
The shooting sparked outrage, prompting Director Kimberly Cheatle‘s resignation. However, acting director Ronald Rowe confirmed only two weeks ago that no agents associated with the July 13 rally had yet been sacked. Why not?
Trump flew to North Carolina this week to give a speech about his economic strategy for a potential second term. Among other proposals, Trump promised to eliminate taxes on Social Security remittances.
