So, Senator John Fetterman has officially joined Truth Social, Donald Trump’s social media platform. And in true Fetterman fashion, he’s already stirring the pot. Within a few hours, the guy racked up nearly 55,000 followers.
That’s influencer-level stuff, guys.
His first post? Short, sweet, and oh-so Fetterman :
“My first truth”
He jumped right into the deep end of the political pool, adding:
“The Trump hush money and Hunter Biden cases were both BS, and pardons are appropriate. Weaponizing the judiciary for blatant partisan gain diminishes the collective faith in our institutions and sows further divisions.”

Not content to stop there, he threw in a screenshot of an MSNBC headline about Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg responding to Trump’s motion to dismiss the hush money case. Because, why not?
Fetterman is quickly becoming the political equivalent of that one friend who refuses to pick sides during a heated debate but somehow manages to roast everyone. He doesn’t fit neatly into any of the usual boxes. He’s not “woke” enough for the left, not “red-pill” enough for the right, and yet here he is, calling out nonsense on both sides.
Take his stance on the Hunter Biden case. He’s calling it BS, which has ruffled plenty of conservative feathers. After all, there’s a fair amount of evidence suggesting Hunter Biden was the “bag man” in a family operation that sold political access to Joe Biden as vice president and president. (Emails, anyone?) But Fetterman’s boldness in labeling the Trump hush money case also BS has earned him some cautious high-fives from the right. Is this a crack in the Democratic Party armor? Maybe.
Let’s talk about the conservative reaction. Some folks on the right are already sliding into Fetterman’s proverbial DMs, inviting him to the Republican BBQ. Why? Because he’s showing signs of valuing things like institutional integrity over party loyalty. Or is he just reading the tea leaves and knows he has to be this way if he wants to keep his seat in four years?
Unlike the left’s reputation for marching in ideological lockstep, conservatives are all about diversity of thought. (Well, as long as you’re not trying to cancel Thanksgiving or ban burgers on the Fourth of July, you’re good.) The GOP tent is big enough for libertarians, traditionalists, and, maybe soon, a slightly rebellious Fetterman.
The million-dollar question: Is Fetterman going to pull a Tulsi Gabbard or RFK Jr. and officially ditch the Democratic Party? Some think it’s just a matter of time. I, being one of his constituents, am not one of them.
Even if he stays put for now, he could still become a wild card in the Senate, occasionally voting in line with the Trump agenda. (Cue dramatic gasps from progressive circles.)
But let’s not kid ourselves: A full-party switch would be huge. It would shake up both parties and further solidify his role as one of the most unpredictable figures in Congress. If nothing else, it would make for some incredible memes on X.
