The 2022 election is over and already the Democrats are plotting what their plans for 2024 look like. It appears that 2024 will be the swan song for Kamala Harris. No one is really willing to put up a fight on her behalf. That is quite telling considering they are willing to stick with Joe Biden and the 81 Million Voter March. Why would Democrats be willing to do that? My guess is that elections are no longer about the voters but is about how slimy a party is willing to go to steal elections.
Also, who do the Democrats have if not Joe Biden? Harris is definitely not the answer. Gavin Newsome would play out well in New York,California, Illinois, and Massachusetts, but he would be poison in red and swing states. Chuck Schumer? I’m not going there. Adam Schiff? The possibilities may be endless, but not practical nonetheless. There has been a lot of stress between the president’s staff and Kamala’s. She rambles and tosses word salads and she does not have the dementia excuse Biden has.

“As Joe Biden weighs a run for re-election even as he becomes the first octogenarian U.S. president in history, he should think back on what it was like to watch the Harris campaign flame out. Harris, a proven dud of a presidential candidate who has done little to distinguish herself since is not a good choice for the Democrats’ top billing. For his second term, should he seek one (he shouldn’t!), Biden should tap someone else.”
The LA Times published:
“As the country has become more partisan, vice presidents have been less likely to enjoy broad support among the public. [Mike] Pence, for example, had a net favorability of roughly zero for much of his four years in the White House. Joe Biden, Dick Cheney and Al Gore all began their tenures with higher ratings than Harris currently enjoys.”

“Despite her obvious intelligence, Harris just isn’t very good, I’m sorry to say, either as a candidate or communicator. When it comes to Harris and 2024 – or beyond — Democrats would be wise to bear in mind the old time-honored caution, caveat emptor.”
Her obvious intelligence? How could it be obvious when she hides it so well? Can you imagine what a conversation between Harris, Joe Biden, and John Fetterman would be like? The Three Stooges would be chartreuse with envy. I would be laughing myself silly for days.
In some ways, this isn’t new. Back in May, the New York Magazine posted a story intriguingly headlined, “There Has to Be a Backup Plan. There’s a Backup Plan, Right?”
But it was the Slate piece that said the quiet part out loud. “If Harris cares about the future of the Democratic agenda, she should gracefully step aside. The vice presidency is a valuable mechanism for soft-launching future presidential hopefuls. Democrats cannot waste it on a candidate who has already failed to launch.”
Ouch.
With all the buzz, Harris was forced last week to comment. “Look, as the president said, he intends to run. And if he does, I will be running with him,” she said.
The thing is — it might not be her choice.
