The 2025 Presidential Transition Project, often known as Project 2025, is a broad coalition of over 100 conservative organizations working together to guarantee that a successful new presidential administration begins on January 20.
The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 aims to restore democracy and free it from the grasp of Washington, D.C.’s political class.
However, Project 2025’s most ferocious opponents are banding together to defend the deep state. In recent months, the initiative has received outrageous, exaggerated assaults.
The Biden-Harris campaign, talk show personality Stephen Colbert, MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow, and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) are just a few of those on the left who believe Project 2025 will spell the end of America as we know it.
The Biden-Harris team even launched an extensive advertising campaign to “expose” the risks of Project 2025’s “far-right manifesto.” House Democrats Ted Lieu, Jamie Raskin, and Pramila Jayapal recently formed the “Stop Project 2025 Task Force.”
Lieu, a far-left California Democrat, stated that “Project 25 [sic] is a radical, extreme, pro-authoritarianism plan pushed by conservatives who are desperate to take our country backwards.”
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELAlthough the project will undoubtedly alter how the federal bureaucracy operates, the Left’s severe fear mongering, misinformation, and plain lying are massive exaggerations of its goals.
Here are five of the most ridiculous fallacies the Left presents about this big project:
MYTH # 1: PROJECT 2025 IS EMBEDDED INSIDE THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN
Project 2025 was begun in the spring of 2022, before any major presidential candidate, including Donald Trump, declared his or her candidacy.
The “Mandate for Leadership,” which provides conservative policy suggestions for the executive branch and is free to the public online, was distributed to all major presidential contenders, including Democrat Joe Biden and independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Although former Trump administration officials are collaborating in the project, they are not alone. Officials who have worked in several presidential administrations dating back 50 years are involved.
Project 2025 is about people and policies. It is not pushing for a certain politician, but rather conservative ideas. Democrats and independents are equally welcome to its reform proposals as Republicans are.
The commonsense ideas in “Mandate for Leadership” go beyond any one person. They represent the remedies that millions of conservative and independent-minded Americans require following years of ineffective leftist leadership and bureaucratic bloat.
MYTH # 2: PROJECT 2025 PROPOSES A NATIONWIDE BAN ON ABORTION, AND CONTRACEPTION
This allegation is a complete lie. The “Mandate for Leadership” and other Project 2025 publications make no mention of a statewide prohibition on abortion or contraception. In vitro fertilization is not even discussed.
This would be simple to prove for politicians and TV hosts who predict an impending “Handmaid’s Tale” dystopia, but they are either too lazy or dishonest to undertake the research.
Many of the assaults on Project 2025 are erroneous attributions, or smears.
MYTH # 3: PROJECT 2025 SUPPORTS AN “AUTHORITARIAN” EXECUTIVE REGIME.
Project 2025 makes no mention of the unitary executive theory. Although many Americans have contested the constitutional scope of executive authority throughout history, the Constitution clearly states that the executive branch should be controlled by the executive.
The Constitution also makes it plain that the administrative state is not a fourth, unaccountable branch that may undercut the president and defy congressional and judicial supervision, as is the case in America today.
The “authoritarian” and “unconstitutional” fear mongering is really a projection. Many on the left have rejected constitutional rights, particularly those mentioned in the Bill of Rights, in order to further their political agenda.
The Biden administration has increasingly employed the administrative state to target the Left’s electoral opponents, including Trump and pro-life fathers and grandmothers.
Project 2025 aims to reign in rogue and authoritarian forces inside the Justice Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and other branches of the US government.
MYTH # 4:THE FOURTH MYTH SUGGESTS THAT PROJECT 2025 IS A SCHEME ORCHESTRATED BY A SELECT FEW ELITES AIMING TO UNDERMINE AND MANIPULATE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
Project 2025, headed by The Heritage Foundation, is a collaborative endeavor of over 100 conservative American groups from across the country.
Organizations involved with Project 2025 are working together to create a competent, conservative administration. Over 400 Americans from all backgrounds submitted their policy expertise to “Mandate for Leadership,” answering the call to suggest meaningful answers to the bureaucratic swamp that is impeding America’s progress.
These groups and contributors represent the perspectives and solutions of millions of Americans who are dissatisfied with the ineffectiveness and even subversiveness of our administrative state. Importantly, not every organization in the Project 2025 alliance supports every policy suggestion outlined in the “Mandate for Leadership.”
MYTH # 5: PROJECT 2025’s MEASURES TO REDUCE THE BUREAUCRACY WOULD HARM AMERICANS AND CONTRADICT AMERICAN PRINCIPLES.
According to the Left, Project 2025 wants to significantly reduce and “weaken” the government. And they would be correct.
However, individuals on the left are mistaken in claiming that these measures will damage Americans. Indeed, the actions would improve people’s lives significantly.
Ronald Reagan once stated, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.” Many Americans agree.
The federal government is bloated and ineffective, and it has not been overhauled in almost 50 years.
Making it easier to terminate obstructive, lethargic, or inept governmental personnel will save taxpayers money and improve government efficiency. The removal and reorganization of unnecessary and obsolete offices would achieve the same result.
The United States has a federal system, but the function of states in governance has been increasingly taken over by the federal government’s bureaucracy. The winding down and eventual abolition of the Department of Education would ultimately benefit Americans by improving educational quality. Americans would be safer from the FBI’s current politically crooked leadership if the agency were reformed.
These are just a few of the ways Project 2025’s execution could benefit Americans.
The United States government is not a job creation program; it exists to serve the interests of the American people, not vice versa.
Finally, there is nothing nefarious about Project 2025. It’s an open book. It works in the light and engages American citizens in a courteous manner, rather than gaslighting them. Everything is open to the public at project2025.org.
While the Left raises concerns about the initiative, coalition members have heard from many Americans, the great silent majority, that the remedies proposed by Initiative 2025 are exactly what this country requires.
