It looks like another victim of the red wave of red notices has fallen.
When Jon Stewart left Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” in 2015, he averaged slightly less than a million and a half viewers each night. Some guy (I think) named Trevor Noah, who was Stewart’s hand-picked replacement, spent the next 7 years showing the world what a total failure looks like. Noah had an average audience of 363k as of last week. He lost four times the audience that Stewart built up. And Stewart’s ratings were nothing to get excited about either.

Of people I politically disagree with, I normally like to say that they’re probably a nice person, but not so with Stewart. He was a cocky smartass on the Left who pushed a really bad ideology onto America and he did it by insulting the majority of the country. Only the extra chromosome Left watched him faithfully because anyone else would get angry at Stewart’s relating one political lie after another throughout his show.
CNN thought Stewart was the cat’s meow, but since Noah took over, most Americans don’t even recall the show anymore, let alone Jon Stewart.
No one on the Right thought anyone could do worse, but Trevor Noah surprised us. Out of a US population of 332 million people, he barely brought in 0.109%. That’s not even enough to keep the lights on, yet the network kept this guy for 7 years.
How did this guy ever get to MC the White House Correspondents Dinner when he destroyed the viewership of his show? He would fit in very nicely with CNN as he was forever telling the dwindling audience that Orange Man bad on a show on Comedy Central. What was it that made the event planners say, You know what? We need someone exciting. Someone who can bring back the once greatness of this event. I know. How about Trevor Noah? Who the hell said that? Noah was not funny at all. He has no charm. I despised Bill Clinton’s politics, but his charisma would light up a room, and I would stand up and shake his hand if he walked into the room. I wouldn’t even enter a room Noah was in for fear of having the dull rub off on me.
His show was like watching a more modern version of the Telescreens in the film adapted version of Orwell’s book 1984, where the authoritarian government’s propaganda was spouted every day line-for-line.
Maybe it’s because most late night hosts are no longer doing comedy? The “comedy” that passes for late night TV these days is making fun of Donald Trump and/or his supporters if not outright letting the audience know how enraged the host is about America.
“My time is up, yeah, but in the most beautiful way, honestly,” Noah said after he thanked his tens of fans. So instead of being moved to a different spot, Noah just left. I will give him that.
Don Lemon didn’t take the hint when they moved him from his Primetime slot to the morning show. I think Lemon realized that he probably couldn’t get another cushy job like the one he has at CNN, so he’s just counting his blessings. Instead of facing the possibility of some woke lawsuit, the executives decided to just move him around and then claimed it’s a promotion. Yeah, they promoted Lemon from PRIMTIME to the morning show. And if he works really hard, someday he might get a show on Cartoon Network. HA!
Noah will probably fail upwards. That’s what happens to woke hires who destroy the viewership of a show.
If they want to blame anyone, it will be Donald Trump. After all, the people who lost their jobs and CNN and now Noah at Comedy Central based their act on trashing the former president. Now that he is no longer in office, these hosts have been exposed as one-trick ponies.
Just think of how much damage was done because the Left hated Trump so much. For the woke supremacy of the leftward land of silliness, being in the woke echo chamber is more important than doing the job you were hired to do; entertain the audience.
