Transgender and “gender diverse” federal government employees will now have access to more taxpayer-funded “gender affirming” healthcare, according to the Biden administration.
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), a separate government body that serves as the federal government’s top human resources and personnel policy manager, unveiled the revamped healthcare package in early October. According to the OPM’s “Federal Benefits Open Season” fact sheet, the organization is “pleased to bring expanded health benefit offers” in the form of “gender affirming care and services” to individuals covered by the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) program.
WPATH has recently been under fire for reducing the minimum age recommendation for gender transitions in order to protect medical professionals from legal repercussions for performing sex-change therapies and procedures on children. I repeat; on children!
In a further contentious step, WPATH recently added eunuchs, or guys who have been voluntarily castrated, to its list of gender-nonconforming identities.
President Joe Biden’s executive order “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce” from June 2021, which instructs the OPM to “promote equitable healthcare coverage and services for enrolled LGBTQ+ employees,” as well as eligible family members through the FEHB, is the source of this new initiative to fund so-called “gender affirming care.”
The agency said in the fact sheet that, “OPM continues to focus on ways our Carriers can improve access to gender-affirming care for transgender and gender diverse individuals.”
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELA spokesperson from the White House told Fox News that the new criteria are similar to other transgender healthcare plans offered by private sector businesses and that gender-transition coverage for government employees was already available before Biden was elected president.
This is what they do. They always try to point to someone else that’s doing the same thing to justify what they are doing. The fact of the matter is it is wrong to force taxpayers to pay for someone else’s surgery. And by saying that you don’t want to pay for someone else’s surgery, that doesn’t mean that you hate that person. It just means that you shouldn’t be forced to pay for someone else’s surgery.
There is nothing among the 18 enumerated powers in the US Constitution that gives Joe Biden the authority to force taxpayers to pay for someone’s surgery. There’s also nothing in the Constitution that allows the government to force private companies to include such surgeries in their health care coverage.
OPM also told the publication that by increasing this coverage, the government is better able to compete with commercial insurance plans for healthcare. I would also like to see among the 18 enumerated powers where the federal government has the right to do a health care plan.
“The federal government strives to be competitive as an employer, and we are committed to providing important, comprehensive healthcare benefits to all federal employees, including LGBTQ+ employees,” a spokesperson told Fox News.
That’s the main difference between the federal government and private corporations. Private corporations don’t have all taxpayers helping to fund their health care programs, but the federal government does. And it’s wrong.
According to the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund, around a fifth of Fortune 500 corporations provide employees with treatment related to gender transition.
In 2023, benefits for additional healthcare categories, including maternal care, medicinal foods, anti-obesity drugs, and assisted reproductive technology, will also be increased. According to the Washington Post, OPM will also keep up pandemic-related measures, including expanded telemedicine services and coverage for immunizations and diagnostics.
What happened to the fact that these people are suffering from a mental disorder known as gender dysphoria? Why is the federal government enabling a mental disorder rather than trying to help them seek treatment for that? It’s because everything this administration does is ideologically political.
The substantial benefits came just after the national debt reached a record high of $31 trillion and the fiscal year 2022 ended with an expected $1.4 trillion budget deficit. We have all that spending and yet the Democrats try to dismiss the idea that they caused inflation.
Since the premiums under the new program are anticipated to grow by an average of 7.2 percent over the course of the next year, OPM acknowledged that the FEHB expenses are a factor in the higher debt load. Their recommendations are that the government should expect a cost increase of around that amount.
