Democracy dies in ignorance. A CNN analyst and a former CIA case officer and current CNN intelligence analyst Robert Baer claim that free speech is nothing but nonsense and the granting of free speech aids Russia and Vladimir Putin. But, you have to remember that it was people like Baer from the intelligence community who claimed the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation. His word and five bucks will get you a bitter-tasting cup of coffee from Starbucks.
“CNN Newsroom” host Boris Sanchez started the interview by saying that Musk made the decision to reinstate formerly banned accounts after holding a vote of users that found that 72.4% wanted amnesty. Baer said that the fact that Elon Musk was going to grant amnesty for the conservative voices that people like Baer want squashed.
Musk tweeted on Thursday:

And Baer responded:
“Well, Boris, I can tell you one thing, Putin will be all over Twitter if there’s no regulations on this. Fake accounts, spoofed accounts, the rest of it, this is a great opportunity for him.”
“They need a propaganda campaign against the United States and against our support for Ukraine. And they’re going to be all over Twitter. I guarantee this. Supporting the far right plans demands to stop arming Ukraine. You just wait.”
Baer is a man who is not a serious person.
Don’t forget folks, Musk almost didn’t purchase the platform because of so many fake and spoofed accounts.
The Biden crime family received first $3.5 million from the wife of the former mayor of Moscow, and according to the Daily Mail, Hunter also collected $40 million in the deal for investments and his father may have known about it. It is another gaping disconnect with the new addiction defense being pushed by President Joe Biden. But you won’t ever hear the CIA mention this. Everything Baer has to say is a partisan fake news accounting of whatever situation he’s talking about.

Without evidence, Baer added, “And so when he’s talking about the popular voice, Musk, he’s really talking about Russian intelligence.”
“The Russians are waiting for something like this,” the former CIA agent claimed.
Baer alleged that the Russians will “put up” misinformation and it will “cascade everywhere, in India, in Europe.” He said the Russian disinformation would “appeal” to the European far right and Chinese. He said that Putin and the Russians are going to weaponize Musk’s new pro-free speech Twitter “as a vehicle to save himself and Ukraine.”
The CNN security and intelligence analyst bizarrely asserted, “And you know, this freedom of speech is just nonsense because you can’t go in a movie theater and yell ‘fire.’ It’s against the law.”
Sanchez asked Baer to provide advice to the Tesla and SpaceX CEO on how to lead Twitter, and the CNN analyst somberly replied, “I’d say this Libertarian nonsense is destructive to American national security. And he has got to reinstitute the same restrictions that were on Twitter before he bought it. There’s no other choice.”
Previously, Musk reinstated the accounts of the Babylon Bee, Kathy Griffin, Jordan Peterson, and former President Donald Trump.
Historically speaking, Baer is not alone in wanting to do away with free speech. That is a position that has been the favorite of Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Hitler, and yes, Vladimir Putin. Baer and his fellow communists have always been afraid of free thinkers and anyone who opposes their Orwell-type control of the masses. With all of the money CNN saved when they fired their high-priced “talent”, you would think they could afford someone with a little gray matter to work with. Must be part of their cost-cutting measures.
