According to the Daily Mail, President Biden was named in an October 2017 email discovered on first son Hunter Biden‘s abandoned laptop in connection with a contentious, multimillion-dollar arrangement to transfer natural gas from the United States to China.
Louisiana attorney Robert W. Fenet informed Hunter and his uncle, first brother Jim Biden, in a letter dated Oct. 27, that he had obtained a contact for them at Houston oil business Cherniere.
“I confirm I have requested [the contact] to be available for a call from Joe Biden and Hunter Biden on Monday morning,” Fenet replied.
It’s unclear whether Fenet mistakenly replaced “Joe” for “Jim.”
President Biden has a history of working with Cheniere executives. In 2005, he appointed former firm lobbyist and vice president Ankit Desai as his political director, and in 2020, former board member Heather Zichal joined the campaign as his environment adviser.

However, at the time the email was written, Biden was a former vice president who was about a year and a half away from announcing a presidential run.
Although Biden has frequently denied any involvement in his shady son’s Chinese business operations, data from Hunter’s laptop and witness evidence indicate he was aware of, if not personally involved in, the transactions.
Jim Biden mentioned the Biden crime family’s involvement in the deal, which involves exporting millions of tons of LNG, or Liquid Natural Gas, from Louisiana to the Chinese state-backed firm CEFC Energy, in correspondence with Fenet.
“We Biden’s often fraught with problems, that they can can (sic) come from working with family members, are of a different mind. It’s all about family, and people we choose to do business with,” Jim wrote Fenet on October 19, 2017.
Hunter’s business partner James Gilliar stated in an email on May 13, 2017, that 10% of the ownership in the CEFC venture would be retained “by H for the big guy.”
Gilliar and another Biden business colleague, Tony Bobulinski, have both stated that “the big guy.” refers to Joe Biden.
A week later, Gilliar warned Bobulinski not to mention Joe Biden’s role in the agreement in any correspondence.
“Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid,” he texted Bobulinksi after Hunter referred to his father as “my Chairman” in a group text.
Bobulinski then claimed that on May 2, 2017, he met with Joe Biden in the Beverly Hilton lobby bar with Hunter and Jim to discuss the China agreement.
Joe Biden has denied any involvement in his son’s Chinese affairs on numerous occasions.
Before being convicted in 2018 for bribery and corruption, CEFC Chairman Yi Jianming and his No. 2 Patrick Ho channeled over $10 million into the Biden transaction.
According to a message on Hunter Biden’s sensational laptop, his father called him following a December 2018 New York Times piece on his ties to the dubious businesspeople.
“I thought the article released online — it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times — was good. I think you’re clear. And anyway if you get a chance, give me a call, I love you,” Biden said to his younger son on December 12, 2018.
The news is the latest setback for the scandal-plagued Hunter, who is already under fire for having access to his father’s Corvette in the same garage where confidential materials were inappropriately stored.
