Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked former President Donald Trump to visit the war-torn country on Sunday.
Zelenskyy issued the invitation to Trump during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” in reaction to the current GOP front-runner’s promise to stop the war in Ukraine within 24 hours if reelected.
“I invite President Trump. If he can come here, I will need … 24 minutes to explain to President Trump that he can’t manage this war,” Zelenskyy added. “He can’t bring peace because of Putin.”
“He’s very welcome,” Zelenskyy continued, but did not respond to host Kristen Welker’s question about whether Trump would “have Ukraine’s back” if re-elected in 2024.
Zelenskyy also replied to NBC News reporting that US and European officials have quietly begun talks about Russia-Ukraine peace talks.
The Ukrainian president stated that he is not ready to initiate talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating, “We can’t trust terrorists because terrorists always come back.”
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELAccording to Reuters, Zelenskyy also stated that if the US does not increase its support for Ukraine, American soldiers could be drawn into a larger European fight.
“If Russia will kill all of us, they will attack NATO countries, and you will send your sons and daughters [to fight],” Zelenskyy told NBC’s “Today” show.
President Biden has asked Congress to approve a $106 billion supplemental funding measure that includes an estimated $61.4 billion for Ukraine, $14.4 billion for Israel, $13.6 billion for border security, and around $10 billion for humanitarian aid.
However, House Republicans, led by new Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), passed their own spending bill, expediting $14.3 billion in aid to Israel while appropriating Ukraine aid separately. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), has refused to call the bill up for a vote in the upper house. Biden stated that he would veto it.
Just remember this when the Democrats start lying and their fake news friends push their lies that it was the Republicans who didn’t want to support Israel.Funding for Ukraine should have nothing to do with funding for Israel and vice versa.
When asked if he feels defeated, Zelenskyy replied that he is “feeling strong” and has a lot of energy, but that “doesn’t mean we want to fight all of our lives.”
“The price is high, like I said,” he said. “But we are not ready to give our freedom to this f—ing terrorist Putin. That’s it. That’s why we are fighting.”
“I don’t think this is a stalemate,” Zelenskyy said, dismissing the notion that the battle with Russia had come to an end. “We have done a lot. We had a very difficult situation. They thought that they would checkmate us, but this didn’t happen.”
From what I understand, the Biden administration is behind the scenes trying to talk Zelenskyy into surrendering to Russia, and it is trying to come up with a way to make it not appear to be a surrender.
Putin last year offered to end the war by telling Zelenskyy that all he had to do was sign an official document saying that Ukraine would never become a part of NATO and he would start pulling his troops out of the country. Zelenskyy had the document made up, and they created a ceremony where he was going to sign. And that’s when the evil Biden administration stepped in and blocked the peace deal. They had Secretary of State Tony Blinken contact Zelenskyy and tell him he couldn’t sign the deal without demanding that Putin step down as leader of Russia. The Biden administration knew Putin would never go for that, and so thousands more died so that the Democrats could continue to use Ukraine as their personal ATM.
