Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) expressed concern Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” regarding the “treatment of January 6 hostages.”
On January 6, 2023, anchor Kristen Welker asked, “Do you still feel as though that day was tragic and that those who were responsible should be held responsible to the fullest extent of the law?” Welker played a clip of a speech Stefanik gave in the House after the January 6 riot where she said that those who rioted should be held accountable. But at the time, like the rest of the world, the New York Republican didn’t know that the Democrats were going to weaponize the incident and remove due process rights for January 6 defendants to the degree they have. They are considered by millions to be hostages of the lawless Biden regime.
“First of all, Kristen, as typical for NBC and the biased media, you played one excerpt of my speech. I stand by my comments that I made on the House floor, and I stand for integrity and I challenged the certification of the state of Pennsylvania because of the unconstitutional overreach. I stand by my floor speech. I am proud to support President Trump. ”She continued, “I have concerns about the treatment of January 6 hostages. I have concerns. We have concerns of oversight and over our treatment of prisoners. I believe we’re seeing the weaponization of the federal government not just against Trump, but we are seeing it against conservatives. We are seeing it against Catholics. That’s one of the reasons why I am proud to serve on the Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Government because the American people want answers and they want transparency, and they understand that as you look across this country, there seems to be two sets of rules your last name is Clinton or Biden, you get to live by another set of rule.”
WATCH:
The misinformation fake news media is forever covering for the Biden regime. To say that there is no evidence between the DOJ and the White House is ridiculous. They have no evidence that Donald Trump incited an insurrection, yet they are removing him from ballots in blue states, and the Biden regime has hit Trump with 92 indictments and 4 charges.
Joe Biden chose Merrick Garland to be the Attorney General, and he unlawfully appointed David Weiss as special counsel to look into Hunter Biden’s alleged crimes. Weiss did not fit the special counsel statute to be a special counsel, but the White House got its way. To think that the AG would play favorites for the president, his boss’s son, is laughable.
