A freshman congressman from Florida expressed his opposition to an immigration reform bill by arguing that Republicans who support the law might as well pass another bill to demolish the Statue of Liberty while they’re at it. This congressman is as ignorant as it gets because he based his little stunt on a misconception of the Statue of Liberty.
On Wednesday, during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing, race baiter Representative Maxwell Frost (D-FL) slammed H.R. 2, also known as the Secure the Border Act of 2023, in dramatic fashion. Frost referred to the measure and similar proposals as “bigoted.” And remember, the definition of a bigot is when you disagree with a Democrat of color.
With a photograph of the Statue of Liberty propped up on an easel behind him, Frost delivered an a heated speech, indicating that immigrants had a right to feel “welcome” in America and accusing those who wish to enforce immigration rules and secure the southern border of “peddling hate.”
Only a Democrat could say that securing the border against illegal migrants—people who wish to break our laws by illegally crossing our border—is peddling hate. I think Frost is peddling stupidity.
“My colleagues on the other side of the aisle, let’s be honest with immigrants who deserve more than what you’re giving them. “Don’t welcome immigrants if you intend to reject them,” Frost advised.
Every one of Frost’s so-called “immigrants” has always and will still have the ultimate opportunity to enter our country legally. I honestly don’t understand why it is so difficult for Democrats to stop conflating legal immigrants with illegal immigrants. It’s like their dendrites don’t fire in their brains whenever we talk about immigration. It’s like they reach a form of mental retardation that doesn’t allow them to understand that Republicans aren’t saying they don’t want immigrants. But they want them to come in legally. Apparently, in 2024, it’s too much to ask for migrants to enter the country legally.

And if you create a law that says you want to stop bank robbers from entering banks because they are going to break the law and rob the bank, the Democrats would argue that the people who support the law are peddling hate.
Frost then stated that he had developed an alternate law that would also advocate pulling down the Statue of Liberty.
“If you keep pushing your bigoted H.R. 2 bill, then also pass this bill. I’ve taken the liberty of drafting it for you,” he said, waving a piece of paper about as an aide flipped the image on the easel to reveal an empty pedestal with only a shadow of Lady Liberty on top.
I thought there were rules in the House against name-calling other members. Frost saying that the bill is bigoted means he is saying those who support the bill are bigots.
“This is who you are, removing the fabric of America. So, I want to know which Republican who supports and voted for H.R.2 will introduce this bill. If you’re gonna support H.R.2 and these bigoted measures, the least you can do is not be a d*mn liar.”
Again, I thought the House had rules against name-calling. So far, Frost has called Republicans bigots and liars.
Remember, the Democratic Party supported the BLM riots and the toppling of statues across the United States. Now, this moron Frost is hiding behind a statue. You can’t make this stuff up.

Frost based his low-IQ arguments on the poem that is engraved on the base of the Statue of Liberty. The poem is called “The New Colossus” and it was written by Emma Lazarus. The part that nitwits like Maxwell Frost use to argue that the Statue of Liberty is an American symbol that the United States is calling out to every uneducated pauper in the world who the American taxpayers will forever owe a living goes like this:
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
Emma Lazarus wasn’t saying that the United States is the land of freebies and that we will take care of the world’s dregs. In the line above this stanza, one that race hustlers like Frost never mention, it says:
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips.
When you add this to the mix, what Lazarus is saying to other countries is that the people in your country cannot become whatever they want to become. They cannot be the best that they can be because your country does not allow them to be as free, and that is because your country is not at the level of exceptionalism that the United States is.
Emmas Lazarus was telling the world that the very same people in those countries who could never be the best they could be would be able to in America. The point the poem was making is that the United States is the greatest country in the world because of our Founding principles, which are superior to those of the “ancient lands” that live under their historical “storied pomp,” or the high-flown glory and splendor of the ancient worlds.
All Frost had to do was pay attention when he went to school, and he would have known this. But it appears that Maxwell Frost is a race hustler, and we can expect him to inject race into everything.
