It looks like President Biden needed a little R&R in Delaware after one of his events got the boot. And the White House announced on Wednesday that Biden tested positive for COVID-19. Again. Does anyone really believe that?
In a statement that probably made his PR team groan, the White House said, “President Biden is vaccinated, boosted, and he is experiencing mild symptoms following a positive COVID-19 test. He will be returning to Delaware, where he will self-isolate and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time.” I don’t think Joe Biden has carried out all of his duties for the last two years. Have you ever seen his daily schedule? Most days, he has one thing on it that doesn’t require him to think. He now wants to go to bed by 8 o’clock every night. That’s probably after Matlock reruns.
Before this delightful news dropped, Biden mentioned in an interview that he might step down if a “medical condition” forced him to. He told BET, “If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, ‘You got this problem and that problem,'” I might hang up my hat.
This revelation has sparked gossip that the Democratic Party is gearing up for Biden to bow out of the race. And wouldn’t you know it, on the same day, Rep. Adam Schiff from California piped up and suggested that maybe Biden should step down to give the party a better chance against—you guessed it, Donald Trump.
This isn’t Biden’s first tango with COVID. Besides that, he used being sick as an excuse for how badly he did in last month’s presidential debate against Trump.
To top it all off, some people were not thrilled when a video surfaced showing Biden boarding Air Force One without a mask after his positive test. Even better, he was seen walking next to his mask-less team members. Because who needs masks anyway, right?
