ABC wants a strong conservative for The View to somewhat balance the insane rants by nutcase hosts such as Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sonny Hostin, and Ana Navarro. It seems like a good idea, but they might have trouble finding someone willing to take a browbeating from those deranged hosts.
This will only work if ABC imposes a rule on leftists that they do not try to run a conservative co-host off the show. To enforce that, ABC must be willing to fire the first host who tries to do it. With Trump in the White House and far-left shows on CNN and MSDNC losing viewers at an alarming rate, ABC sees the need to level the playing field somewhat.
RedState reports:
The Trump Derangement Syndrome-riddled ladies — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sonny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and the rest of the Trump-hating cast have spewed venomous bile against the former president and his followers for years. That’s in addition to parroting outrageous nonsense that a second Trump presidency would bring about the end of democracy, presidential elections, and women’s rights, while ushering in internment camps for Trump’s “enemies” and other such bilge.
An unnamed source told The New York Post (emphasis, mine):
Everyone on ‘The View’ endorsed Kamala Harris. They lost. They are out of touch with America. For a show about different perspectives, ‘The View’ doesn’t seem to have any when it comes to Trump; ABC bosses don’t want to alienate the pro-Trump demographic.

Wait. They don’t want to alienate the pro-Trump demographic? Should we tell them? Yo, ABC. That ship sailed a long time ago. Do you clowns really think Trump supporters and other conservatives will suddenly fire up “The View” — instead of avoiding it like the plague — because you’re now bleeding viewership, and are desperate to pretend to be fair and balanced? Please.
It gets better. And by “better,” I mean even more hilarious.
A second source told the NY Post that an expected, network-wide reshuffle comes after execs were caught “flat-footed” by Trump’s win, and the pro-Trump sentiment in the country. #ProTip: That’s what happens when you live in a TDS-riddled bubble with the likes of Whoopi, Behar, and Hostin.
Cancelling ‘The View’ might be a better plan.
Former co-host Meghan McCain, whose father John McCain lost to Barack Obama in 2008, ripped her old colleagues for their reaction to Trump’s win.
“Respectfully, please stop sending me clips from ‘The View,’” McCain wrote on X last week. “It’s a radical progressive insane asylum and that is why I left years ago.”
She also called out the show for not having a “single conservative woman” on the panel during the election cycle.
“It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn’t one single conservative woman on ‘The View’ this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn’t repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular,” she wrote.
Media watchers expect rival networks to follow suit and bring in more Trump-friendly voices to not only appear on-air but also to help produce TV shows.
One media expert cited the increasingly anemic ratings of left-leaning networks like MSNBC and CNN, while conservative Fox News continues to outperform them both.
