The Wall Street Journal thought it had a bombshell. They ran with a story that President Donald Trump supposedly sent a crude birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein. That’s what they claimed. Of course, they didn’t actually have the letter. But that didn’t stop them. They printed it anyway.
And what was the result? A total backfire.
Some of the same MAGA influencers who had been frustrated with Trump over the Epstein files are now lining up to defend him. Because even they can smell what this is. It’s another media hit job. Sloppy. Desperate. And weird.
Among the top influencers speaking up: Journalist Megyn Kelly, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and journalist Jack Posobiec. They all lit up X on Thursday night, basically laughing off the Journal’s claims.
The article said Trump wrote Epstein a note in 2003 that featured some kind of “third-person dialogue” between the two men inside a drawing of a naked woman. Yes, really. That’s what they’re saying. And it supposedly included Trump’s signature. But again, the paper admits it doesn’t actually have the letter. They ran the whole story without the evidence.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that. She said the outlet admitted to the administration it did not have possession of the letter it bases the story on. So they’re making accusations based on something they’ve never seen. It’s fiction journalism.

He’s calling the story “FAKE” and says he’s going to sue the Journal, News Corp., and Rupert Murdoch over it. He’s not playing games. He’s drawing a line.
And if you want to see the absurdity of it all in one sentence, just picture what someone online summed up perfectly: “The irony here is Michael in the background going, ‘Yes… mmmmhmm, yeah…’”
That’s about the level we’re dealing with here. One more media smear. One more swing. And once again, they missed.

Jack Posobiec, formerly of One America News, who now hosts Human Event Daily on Real America’s Voice, said that if Trump were in the Epstein files, the Democrats and the deep state would have released the documents a long, long time ago.

After announcing plans to sue the Wall Street Journal, its parent company, and Rupert Murdoch himself, Trump directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to “produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony” related to Epstein, pending court approval.
So here we are. Another baseless hit job from the corporate press, another round of media hysteria, and once again, it all collapses under the weight of its own nonsense. No evidence. No credibility. Just recycled slime and desperate timing. But this time, Trump isn’t letting it slide. He’s going on offense. And now the people who matter, from Elon Musk to Jack Posobiec, are standing with him. Because they know what this really is. It’s not journalism. It’s political warfare dressed up as reporting. And they just got caught red-handed.
This was a warning shot from the Left. The same intelligence operatives who pushed the Russian collusion hoax—and every other fabricated narrative—are behind this latest smear.
