Look, I’ve covered Washington politics for a long time, and let me tell you something: what happened on the Senate floor last week was pure political theater at its finest. We’re talking about a sitting Democratic senator basically telling his own party they’re a bunch of spineless cowards who deserve to get crushed at the polls.
Senator Cory “Spartacus” Booker had what you can only describe as a complete meltdown. This wasn’t some heated policy debate or partisan back-and-forth. This was supposed to be routine business about police funding bills. You know, the kind of stuff that usually gets passed without anyone even paying attention.
But Booker? He decided this was his moment to go nuclear on his own teammates. He started ranting about how Democrats are rolling over for Trump, how they’re “bending the knee” to avoid making waves. Law firms, universities, businesses, fellow senators – nobody was safe from his tirade.
Here’s what he actually said, and I’m quoting him directly:
“That is complicity with an authoritarian leader who is trashing our Constitution. It’s time for Democrats to have a backbone. It’s time for us to fight… If we don’t stand as Democrats, we deserve to lose.”
Now, you’d think his fellow Democrats might rally around this passionate plea for party unity, right? Wrong. Senator Amy Klobuchar wasn’t having any of it. She basically called him out for being a grandstanding hypocrite right there on the Senate floor.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELTurns out Booker had objected to her police funding bill months before Trump even took office again. And here’s the kicker – he didn’t even bother showing up to the committee meetings where they were debating this stuff. So he skips the actual work but shows up for the cameras? Classic.
Klobuchar didn’t mince words:
“You can’t do one thing on police week and not show up and not object… and then a few weeks later, make a big speech on the floor.”
Ouch. That’s got to sting when your own party member exposes you like that in front of C-SPAN cameras.
But did Booker back down? Of course not. He doubled down with another emotional speech about the Democratic Party rolling over, crying out for “justice” and “bravery.” His big finale was this gem:
“We will stand bravely, dream boldly, and nothing will stand in our way because we are Americans. The future is ours, and our golden age has just begun.”
I mean, come on. That sounds like something out of a high school student council campaign speech.
This is the same party that proudly championed the Defund the Police movement just a few years ago. And in the places where that reckless idea was actually put into action, the results were disastrous. Cities that embraced it didn’t become safer or more just. Crime exploded. Cities descended into chaos. Entire neighborhoods were swallowed by violence and fear.
Now, these same people are accusing ICE agents, men and women doing their jobs, of dragging innocent people off the streets. It’s delusional. They’re twisting reality into something unrecognizable.
These are not serious people. This is just another desperate gimmick from a party that’s spent years vilifying law enforcement. After all the damage they’ve done, nobody in their right mind takes Democrats seriously on public safety.
Think about where we are right now. Trump’s back in office, and the results speak for themselves. We’ve got secure borders again, companies are ditching the Democrats’ DEI nonsense, there’s a trillion dollars in new investments flowing into America, and we actually had a budget surplus in June. When’s the last time that happened? Trump’s first term. That’s when.
Meanwhile, the Democrats are eating each other alive. It’s like they have formed a circular firing squad. They lost everything: the presidency, both houses of Congress, most of the governorships, and state legislatures. Hell, they probably even lost a lot of dog catcher seats, too. And their activist judges who always gave Democrats what they couldn’t get done at the ballot box or in legislation? The Supreme Court has three liberal justices, and that’s it.
The polling numbers tell the whole story. Congressional Democrats just hit rock bottom with a 19 percent approval rating. Seventy-two percent of Americans disapprove of how they’re handling things. That’s the worst numbers in sixteen years of polling. Democrats are at a 35-year low.
On every single issue that matters to normal people – border security, deportations, taxes, trade, the economy, inflation, this whole DEI madness, men competing in women’s sports – Trump and Republicans are winning by huge margins.
So what’s the Democratic response to all this? The usual hysteria. They scream “authoritarianism” and “fascism” at the top of their lungs, but offer nothing of substance. No facts, no plans, no solutions, just buzzwords meant to scare people. And on the rare occasion they do trot out an example, the truth of their response has already been beaten to death before they even finish their sentence.
That kind of dog-whistle politics doesn’t work anymore. Voters are done with the nonsense. They want America First policies. They want safe streets, stable jobs, and some actual common sense in government. And they’re sick of watching their hard-earned tax dollars get funneled into radical, globalist pet projects they never asked for and would never support at the ballot box.
The Democratic Party is tearing itself apart. On one side, you’ve got AOC and the Squad pushing the party even further left into fringe territory. On the other hand, the old guard—people like Schumer and Pelosi—are scrambling to sound moderate just to cling to power. It’s gotten so bad that some Democratic mayors are now governing like Republicans just to avoid getting voted out. The cracks aren’t just showing, they’re splitting wide open.
And then there’s Cory Booker, caught in the middle, having a full-blown meltdown because he sees the whole operation collapsing. He’s out of moves. So now he’s resorting to lying about Trump, misrepresenting Republican policies, and lashing out at his own party for not playing along with the script. It’s desperation, plain and simple.
So yeah, it’s another rough day for the Democrats. But for the rest of America? Things are looking pretty good.
