Despite the lawsuits and the accusations, every single one of those cases was suddenly settled in cash during the same year Omar and her husband struck it rich.

Back in February, when rumors swirled online that she was secretly a millionaire, the congresswoman dismissed it as “disinformation.”

“Since getting elected, there has been a coordinated right-wing disinformation campaign claiming all sorts of wild things, including the ridiculous claim I am worth millions of dollars, which is categorically false,” Omar told Business Insider.

This isn’t the first time Omar has been tied to suspicious activity. She was linked to one of the biggest pandemic fraud scandals in U.S. history. The scam involved $250 million that was supposed to feed hungry kids. Instead, it vanished.

The operation ran through a Minneapolis restaurant called Safari, and there’s actual video of Omar promoting it back in 2021.

Her campaign even took donations from people who were later charged in the fraud case. On top of that, she was the one who sponsored the Meals Act in 2020, which, as it turns out, created the loopholes that fraudsters used to funnel away taxpayer dollars.

Omar getting rich isn’t just about her.
