Rap superstar and actor Ice Cube was all set to star in Sony’s “Oh Hell No” comedy movie but he walked away from the project when he turned down the movie producer’s request that he get a COVID-19 vaccination, according to the Hollywood Reporter on Friday.
Ice Cube teamed up with comedy actor and musician Jack Black back in June to do the movie, and the two were scheduled to start filming in Hawaii this winter.
And then the film’s producers, Matt Tolmach and Black, asked all cast members on the film to get vaccinated, and according to the news outlet, Ice Cube did not drink the Kool Aid and walked away from the film after that order went out.
Folks, he not only gave up a pretty good role in a major film, but the artist also walked away from $9 million for the project, according to Rolling Stone.
The film had already been delayed after Black was injured while doing a gag project for the final episode of Conan O’Brien’s “Conan” show. Now, the film’s schedule is unknown as Sony tries to find a replacement for Ice Cube.
Because of what the producers did to the cast members, I will not watch the film or support anything they produce ever again. I’m just saying.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELI also want to give serious props to Ice Cube for standing up for his body sovereignty. He is a major public figure and his stance, though an extremely personal decision, will go a long way to encourage other Americans to stand up for their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Sovereignty over your own body is the single most personal thing we own. The authoritarians want us to bend the knee to their will, and Ice Cube wasn’t having any of it.
The Hollywood Reporter said that a July agreement between Hollywood unions and studios allows producers the option “to implement mandatory vaccination policies for casts and crew in Zone A on a production-by-production basis.” Zone A means people are working in close proximity.
It’s strange, because there is no vaccine mandate yet, especially for non-federal workers. I recently wrote a piece about the ramifications of vaccine mandates and how they are going to affect everyone, including people who got the jab. I guess we can add entertainment now to the list.
The rapper has come under scrutiny in the past about COVID and COVID-related policies. Back in June, Ice Cube caught some heat for what the Sun reported as spreading conspiracies about COVID, vaccines, and Microsoft legend and vaccine nut job Bill Gates.
In short, the rapper shared a meme about Gates on social media that pointed out the former Microsoft founder is not a doctor, an epidemiologist, or a virologist, but he owns virus parents and vaccine companies. The outlet wrote that the rapper’s posts “fueled the conspiracy theory about Gates wanting to inject microchips in COVID-19 vaccines to track people.”
Apparently, Ice Cube is well-informed. The outlet reported he posted a demand that medical professionals “tell the truth” about the pandemic virus.
Millions of Americans do not trust the vaccines, and for good reason. The Biden administration is being run by a president and vice president who both trashed the vaccines when Donald Trump was president saying they did not trust the vaccines because they were developed under Trump. Even though there are no images or video footage of Trump wearing a white lab coat, medical gloves and goggles working in a lab, the two dunderhead Democrats said the vaccines were not to be trusted. Now, in full authoritarian mode, they are mandating Americans take the very same vaccine they once said they didn’t trust.
With all of that, the so-called science “experts” of the administration have gotten pretty much everything wrong about the virus, the pandemic, the vaccines, and the mitigation measures according to real science.
The American people are not stupid. They see the many contradictions by the very people we are supposed to trust with our lives, and many, like Ice Cube, just aren’t buying the bullschtein anymore.
