One of the Democrat’s most prolific arguments for open borders is that we need illegals to do what Americans won’t. But, I was not aware that we have a shortage of criminals. On the other hand, it is a shortage that we can live with. We also have plenty of people willing to feed from the government trough so that we didn’t need the 7 million illegals Biden has allowed Invited into the country. Daniel Hernandez Martinez, 29, is a prime example of what we do not need.
Martinez did not commit his first crime in this country until the day after he arrived. In his first two months he was here he was arrested six times while committing fourteen crimes. many of these crimes were violent. But, the Martinez case was a double whammy since he moved to New York where serial criminals don’t even need to post bail to get out of jail. People have been arrested three times on the same day and released without bail all three times.
Martinez’s alleged crimes began at a Costco in Brooklyn. He shoplifted a number of items. He was charged with petty larceny and subsequently released. On July 6, he allegedly robbed a Duane Reade store, stealing a toolset. From Then his crimes moved from theft to assault. The very next day, he returned to Duane Reade and stole a bag of chips and toothpaste. When he was confronted, he pulled out a long knife and threatened the police officer with it. Once again he did not have to post bail and he was just getting started.
He was charged with menacing, but he, again, was released on his own recognizance. The report noted that he was released because the charge was not bail-eligible.
On July 31, he attacked a man named Jeffrey Bradac, 52, with a bike tire in front of the Row Hotel. It appears that the attack was completely unprovoked. Bradac, a journalist, was apparently in the area to report on the migrant crisis. He had interviewed Martinez before, and he was surprised when he was attacked.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELBradac said he “did a nice interview with the guy.” He has amassed a substantial following on social media, where he posts updates about migrants.
“He hit me with the bike tire and I called police,” Bradac said. “Then, he jumped the Dumpster and a really fit cop ran after him but the guy got away.”
Last month, Martinez apparently attacked a woman in Midtown, according to the police. He allegedly grabbed the woman by the hair and dragged her across the floor and kicked her. Court documents indicate that he was charged with menacing, assault, criminal mischief, and weapon possession.
Three days after the incident, he was arrested for menacing and threatening someone with a chain. And four days after that, he was arrested for using a metal pipe to break locks to steal bicycles in Times Square.
“He’s been wreaking havoc,” a cop with more than 20 years on the job said.
“This is not an isolated incident. These migrants are getting arrested quite often here, and we really don’t know who they are. They really don’t have ID. They’re not being vetted properly, but some of them are committing some of the most violent crimes here.”
The report stated that prosecutors sought $10,000 bail and $10,000 bond for Martinez’s assault on the police officer, but the judge decided to set it at $5,000 instead. Martinez was subsequently sent to Rikers Island.
