Democrats are now turning on their leader with a fury rarely witnessed before. This isn’t just another political failure. It’s the moment an entire party realizes their chosen champion can’t even handle a simple interview. And no, this time we’re not talking about Kamala Harris. The movement to oust Hakeem Jeffries is gaining momentum. It’s not just about removing him as minority leader. Some want him gone from the Democratic Party entirely. The irony is that this meltdown reflects the larger collapse of the left. And the data behind it is staggering.
According to the latest Wall Street Journal poll, Democrats’ approval rating has cratered to just 33%, the lowest in 35 years. To put that in perspective, it’s worse than during the Carter administration. A Quinnipiac poll shows something even more devastating. Democrats collapsed to just 19% approval—the lowest rating they’ve ever recorded.
But the polls only tell part of the story. Democrats are also facing what even the New York Times has called a “voter registration crisis.” In all 30 states that track party affiliation, Republicans are crushing Democrats. Since 2020, Democrats have lost 4.5 million voters who walked away. For the first time since 2018, more Americans registered as Republicans than Democrats in 2024.
In the middle of this collapse, Hakeem Jeffries was chosen to lead. His leadership has turned into a masterclass in incompetence. Polls show Jeffries with only about 30% favorability and a net unfavorable rating. More telling, 74% of Americans say they don’t know enough about him to form an opinion. Think about that. The supposed leader of the opposition party is invisible to three-quarters of the country.
Under his watch, Democrats doubled down on what critics call the “80/20 doom loop.” They cater to the most extreme 20% of their base while alienating the rest of the nation. That strategy is playing out in New York City with the nomination of Zoron Mdani, a self-described socialist. He advocates for a $30 minimum wage, city-owned grocery stores, and seizing the means of production. Even in deep-blue New York, his support is stuck in the low 40s, splitting Democrats down the middle.
When asked whether he would endorse Zohran Mandami and, by extension, socialism, Jeffries grew hostile and dodged the question. That moment exposed the contradictions inside the Democratic Party. They claim to support free markets while openly pushing radical Marxist policies. The result is a party tearing itself apart.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELProgressives are now threatening to primary Jeffries out of office. CNN has reported that members of the Democratic Socialists of America want to replace him and other establishment Democrats in New York. When pressed, Jeffries responded in Harris-like fashion by pivoting back to Donald Trump.
The numbers keep getting worse for Democrats. Gallup polling shows just 42% of Democrats believe their party has a strong unifying identity. Nearly 90% of Republicans say the same about the GOP. Woke issues—whether CRT in classrooms, transgender athletes in sports, or DEI mandates—consistently divide Democrats while uniting Republicans.
On key issues, Republicans hold commanding leads. They are up 10 points on inflation, 17 points on immigration, and nearly 20 points on illegal immigration. Even in areas where Trump’s personal approval is low, Republicans still outperform Democrats.
The crisis is so severe that insiders like Ashley Etienne, former communications director for Nancy Pelosi, are now calling for Jeffries’ removal. She argues that his leadership threatens the survival of the party. With Democrats losing redistricting battles, hemorrhaging voters nationwide, and hitting record-low polling numbers, the pressure is only growing.
For conservatives, this is an unprecedented opportunity. When your opponent’s approval rating is at a 35-year low and their leader can’t unite his own party, you don’t just win elections. You reshape American politics for a generation.
The bottom line is simple. Democrats are eating themselves alive. Progressives are battling establishment leaders. Voter registrations are collapsing. Approval ratings are in free fall. Instead of competence, the party has chosen identity politics and radical experiments. The results are catastrophic.
The question heading into 2026 isn’t whether Republicans will win. The only question is by how much.
