The story the Biden administration has been spreading around about the withdrawal of Americans from Afghanistan is falling apart before our eyes.
There are still hundreds of Americans stranded in Afghanistan despite what you hear from the Administration.
One of them called pleading for help and was hung up on, according to The Intercept:
A former U.S. Army translator, Wafa, who became a US citizen in 2019, is among those most endangered by the fall of the Afghan government: people who cooperated with US forces and are now likely to be treated as traitors by the Taliban, Afghanistan’s new rulers. The home of Wafa’s family in the city of Herat had already been visited by longtime neighbors who turned out to be covertly working for the Taliban; the neighbors were said to be searching for him.
The abrupt departure of American troops and closure of the Kabul airport left Wafa, who fears violent retribution for his work with the US, stuck hiding with his wife in Kabul and looking for a way out.
When Wafa called the State Department on August 29, the deadline for the US withdrawal from Afghanistan was still expected to be two days away. An official picked up Wafa’s call and gave him instructions on what to do.

Wafa said he was comforted by the confident tone of the person who spoke with him when he called.
“They told me that they would not leave any citizen in the country, they would get everyone out,” Wafa said. “They told me to take shelter and not go to the airport and to wait for further directions on what to do.”
Those directions were more than likely to place your head as far back as you can and kiss your butt goodbye.
The official told Wafa to wait for another call with more instructions and then he realized he was skunked when, after 24 hours, that phone call never came. This was done to an American citizen.
The very next day, Wafa had to sit there watching President Joe Biden on the TV bragging about how the withdrawal from Afghanistan was successful, as he was waiting for his phone call that never came and he was never rescued. That’s because people are expendable in Biden’s eyes. People are to be treated like furniture; purchased, used, then disposed of when no longer useful to you.
Wafa placed a call to the State Department and told them that he and others he knew of were still stranded in Afghanistan.
“I told them President Biden is saying on the news that everyone is out, but I’m still here,” he said. “I have my passport in my hand right now, and no one has given me any way to get out.”
The official asked Wafa to hold the line, and some minutes went by before he came back and gave him the terrifying bullschtein line from the Biden administration:
“At this time, we have no other information to share with you on steps to take,” the official said to Wafa, an American citizen. “We can only advise you to shelter in place for the time being.”
“Thank you for calling the US Department of State,” he remembered the person on the other end of the line saying, and then he hung up on him.
White House mouthpiece Jen Psaki scolded Fox News’ Peter Doocy who used the word “stranded” when asking how many Americans were going to be left behind.
“Does the president have a sense that most of the criticism is not of leaving Afghanistan? It’s the way that he has ordered it to happen by pulling the troops before getting these Americans who are now stranded. Does he have a sense of that?” Doocy asked.
Psaki replied, “I think it’s irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They are not. We are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home.”
Liberals base their every utterance on words that make promises that they do not have to comply with. “We are committed” allows the Biden administration to say they “were committed” when hundreds of American were stranded behind in Afghanistan. The fact they said they “were committed” is enough for them to sleep at night. It doesn’t matter that they failed at their commitment. They were committed.
The administration recognized that it thought some American citizens were left behind in Afghanistan.
“We believe there are still a few Americans — under 200 and likely closer to 100 — who remain in Afghanistan and want to leave,” the utterly worthless Secretary of State Antony Blinken said. “We’re trying to determine exactly how many.”
They don’t even know how many Americans are still there. That is breathtakingly irresponsible.
General Kenneth McKenzie, head of US Central Command, was sent out on Monday to spread the news that no United States citizens were on the last five jets that left the Kabul airport.
“We maintained the ability to bring them in up until immediately before departure, but we were not able to bring any Americans out,” the general said. “That activity ended probably about 12 hours before our exit, although we continued the outreach and would have been prepared to bring them on until the very last minute. But none of them made it to the airport and were able to be accommodated.”
In other words, you failed hundreds of American citizens that you left stranded behind.
“The military phase of this operation has ended,” the general said. “The diplomatic sequel to that will now begin.” That and a fifty-cent piece don’t get you a cup of coffee.
At this point, WAFA has zero confidence in the diplomacy phase.
A friend posted a video that was leaked out of Afghanistan where Taliban members had multiple Afghan men kneeling in a line in front of them and, one by one, they shot them in the back of the head probably using American weapons that Biden gave them. That’s the Biden administration diplomacy at work.
“I can’t trust the Taliban. They are my enemy and the enemy of all Americans,” Wafa said. “They proved that over the last 20 years. I don’t know how the US government can trust them to negotiate anything. But if I have to take the risk of them negotiating, I will do it if that is the only thing that can allow my wife and me to leave the country.”
And he said that he will not leave his wife behind because he is frightened of what the Taliban is going to do.
“I cannot leave her here,” he said. “We are afraid that when everyone else leaves the country, the Taliban will show their real face.”
This isn’t right. Wafa and others like him who are stranded there deserve to be rescued and brought home, and we now know that McKenzie’s words were just lip service. They never had any intentions of getting the Americans left behind out. We would have heard by now if the Biden administration had gotten any more Americans out of Kabul. They just wanted them out of the headlines. They want you to believe they are making diplomatic efforts, but they are not. They lied and now all we can do for those stranded in Afghanistan is pray for a miracle.
Never forget that elections have consequences.
