Acting DC US Attorney Ed Martin has announced that he is opening an investigation into threats against DOGE members and the politician that has stirred up hatred against them. He has named Chuck Schumer as the target of his probe. He has already begun an investigation into Schumer for threatening members of the Supreme Court which led to an assassination attempt against Justice Kavanaugh. If convicted in either case, Schumer could lose his Senate seat.
Ed Martin said:
“Our initial review of the evidence presented to us indicates that certain individuals and/or groups have committed acts that appear to violate the law in targeting DOGE employees.”
“We are in contact with the FBI and other law-enforcement partners to proceed rapidly. We also have our prosecutors preparing.”
Martin said his latest investigation comes after talking to a DOGE employee on an unrelated matter:
“Late last night I took a call from a senior DOGE staffer. We spoke about some pressing tech issues and then he told me about threats against DOGE workers. It is despicable that these men and women are being threatened.”

Schumer said:
“You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Martin countered with:
“At this time, I respectfully request that you clarify your comments from March 4, 2020. Your comments were at a private rally off the campus of the U.S. Capitol. You made them clearly and in a way that many found threatening.”
