The Christian nonprofit “He Gets Us” reportedly spent close to $20 million on two Super Bowl ads depicting Jesus as sympathetic to all people, regardless of political affiliation.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) (AOC), on the other hand, was not a fan of the Jesus commercial that ran during Super Bowl 57.
AOC tweeted shortly after the Super Bowl commercial aired, “Something tells me Jesus would *not* spend millions of dollars on Super Bowl ads to make fascism look benign.”

Ocasio-Cortez is a pinhead who gets most things fantastically wrong. Coming from a member of a political party that got the very same platform she posted on (and others) to do its dirty work for them to silence the opposition because the government wasn’t allowed to violate free speech is the ultimate hypocrisy.
AOC then liked a tweet claiming that the firm behind the ad is “funding the right’s efforts to ban abortion and allow businesses to discriminate against the LGBTQ+.”
The ad that AOC said was fascist featured dozens of black-and-white photos of individuals arguing about lockdowns, politics, and other issues.
The ad concluded with the words, “Jesus loved the people we hate.”
He Gets Us paid for the advertising space to increase the number of visitors to their website, which contains Bible devotionals, information about Jesus, and a chat line.
The commercial is hard-hitting and reminds us all of how on-edge government and political groups have made us. It concludes with their web address: HeGetsUs.com/LoveYourEnemies.

From the website:
Don’t get us wrong. Conflict can be healthy. Expressing outrage at injustices, being a voice for the voiceless, and boldly representing your values and identity are important parts of the human experience. Jesus did all these things. But how often do our conflicts devolve from a dignified defense to a dehumanizing hate for others? And how often do we just consume conflict that really has nothing to do with values and everything to do with our guilty pleasure of hateful content, just like a grade school fight?
We stop our scroll to watch a video of people screaming at or getting physical with a customer service agent or a fast-food worker. We tune in to watch two political pundits tear each other apart on cable news. We like and share insulting jokes on social media made at the expense of those who think differently than us. We turn an unfortunate incident in a person’s life into a meme for people to mock them.
And we love to pick a side. We identify with the reasonable neighbor dealing with the nosey troublemaker next door. We doomscroll opposing takes on trending topics that we know will only serve to make us angry. It’s like many of us are addicted to the fight. And it seems that the evolution of technology and media has created an arena that fuels the addiction — like those hateful images, videos, and stories — and ideas are louder than anything else we consume. But why?
I think leftists are furious and yelling about this Super Bowl ad that says Jesus loved the people you hate because it exposes what awful people they are. Liberals are always full of anger, rage, and hatred. It’s on their membership application. This ad just reminded us of how angry they are all the time. I may donate to their cause.
Jesus taught that people should try to live with the innocence of children. Children don’t understand racism, hate, or authoritarianism until they are taught by adults.
And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” – Matthew 18:3-5
