Folks, I’ll be honest with you. I skipped this rally entirely, and I don’t regret it one bit. Still, Barack Obama has returned to the campaign trail, exactly as he said he would. He kicked things off in Michigan, and let me tell you, having Obama show up these days is basically a curse for any Democrat who asks him to come. Word is that Ohio comes next. Obama won both states during his run. Yet thanks to Donald J. Trump, Democrats now have a much harder time in each of them, and that’s a big deal.
Who is getting this big endorsement? Abdul El-Sayed. Isn’t this incredible? Back when Obama was in the White House, El-Sayed pushed back against most, if not all, of his key agenda items. Today the former president is campaigning on his behalf as if the two go way back. I’ve been watching politics for a long time, and I honestly can’t recall a stranger pairing than this one.
The Iranian economy is in shambles; the country has Great Depression levels of unemployment, inflation is over 100%, oil exports and revenue have dropped to $0, the Iranian Rial has collapsed over 60% of its value vs. the Dollar since March, almost its entire navy has been sunk, virtually the entire upper echelons of the government were decapitated in the opening salvo of the war, and there now appears to be a growing rebellion against the central government in Balochistan.
In what universe does this put Iran in a stronger strategic position now than in January?

So what topic did Obama pick once he got up there? Iran, of all things. He went after Trump over the Iran War, and folks, it landed with a thud that was genuinely funny to watch. Now, does the operation deserve some criticism? Sure it does. My own complaint is that Trump has gone easy on Tehran when he really ought to be bombing the hell out of it. Barry lecturing anyone on foreign policy is a stretch, to put it mildly.
Let’s talk about that record, Barry. Between you and warm diarrhea brains, Joe Biden, America’s standing in the world took a beating. Perhaps that default Democrat self-righteousness is to blame. On your watch, Russia marched into Crimea and annexed it without much pushback from you. But you did give the people blankets.
Bashar al-Assad deployed chemical weapons, and he did it more than once. How did the White House respond? Nothing. For years, Syria as a whole was left to fend for itself.
And who could forget Yemen? Obama pointed to it as the poster child for future counterterrorism operations. That country later fell apart into an ongoing civil war, and the Houthis ended up at the center of the chaos. Then came the nuclear deal, which I’d call misguided from day one. Your administration paid Iran what amounted to a ransom to secure the release of detained Americans. Your playbook was painfully predictable, Barry, and your second-term record showed it. You dropped $1.7 billion from a plane, on pallets, in the middle of the night, like the Sinaloa Cartel. Spare us the lecture.
Barry, voters sent Trump to Washington in 2016 because they wanted someone to repair the damage your presidency left behind. After Biden’s turn in office, Trump inherited another cleanup job.
