Meanwhile, on the manufacturing front, companies like Ford are hitting the brakes on EV production, with Ford shifting gears from its electric F-150 Lightning trucks back to good ol’ gas-powered vehicles. Toyota, initially humming the hybrid tune, has now decided to throw another $1 billion into the electric ring with a new SUV.
