President Joe Biden gave his farewell speech in the Oval Office on Wednesday, and, as you might expect, he warned us about the evils of dark money in politics. According to him, it’s “dangerous and a threat to democracy.”
For those who need a refresher, dark money refers to “political donations not disclosed to the public through sophisticated financial instruments.” Translation: Cash gets funneled into campaigns in ways that make sure we, the people, have no idea who’s really pulling the strings. Apparently, the Biden’s are pretty well versed in laundering money. But I digress.
Now, here’s the thing. Biden delivered this passionate warning about dark money just two weeks after he handed the Medal of Freedom to none other than George Soros. Yes, that George Soros—the billionaire Democrat donor who’s been linked to, you guessed it, a whole lot of dark money. You can’t make this stuff up.
“George Soros is an investor, philanthropist, and founder of the Open Society Foundations,” Biden’s White House wrote about Soros for the award ceremony. “Through his network of foundations, partners, and projects in more than 120 countries, Soros has focused on global initiatives that strengthen democracy, human rights, education, and social justice.” Of course, they left out the small detail that millions of dark money contributions link back to Hungarian-born Soros, who quietly financed soft-on-crime district attorneys, radical left candidates, and a host of Democrat initiatives.
Translation: We’re Democrats, and it’s okay when we do it.
But let’s get back to Biden’s speech. “In my farewell address tonight, I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. And that’s a dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-wealthy people,” Biden said Wednesday. “The dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked.”
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELOh, but he wasn’t done. He added, “Today, an oligarch is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power, and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms, and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead.” Gosh, who do you think he’s talking about?

Joe essentially encouraged Democrats to target Elon Musk. Even in his farewell address, Joe Biden acted as an authoritarian brute.
You’ve got to admit, the irony here is rich. Biden condemning oligarchs, right after honoring one? <Chef’s kiss.>
And don’t forget that the Biden crime family received $.35 million from the wife of the former mayor of Moscow, she being an oligarch. For what, we still don’t know because the crime family can never what their “business” created, services, or produced for any of the tens of millions of dollars received that we know of.
Joe Biden cut deals with Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyi, who owned PrivatBank, the largest bank in Ukraine. Kolomoyskyi had allegedly asked Joe Biden to do something to help him get out of trouble with Ukraine’s prosecutors, who were investigating him for crimes. Barack Obama appointed Joe as the point man for corruption in Ukraine. That’s like putting the weasel in charge of the hen house. Biden got Kolomoyskyi out of trouble and he was paid by Kolomoyskyi through a money laundering scheme. You see, Kolomoyskyi also partly owned a giant gas utility called Burisma Holdings, and he funneled $85,000 a month through Burisma as a payroll item to Joe’s son Hunter Biden for a no-show job. Hunter had zero experience in the gas industry, the energy industry, or Ukraine. So, forgive me if I roll my eyes at Mr. Potato Head-in-Chief when he talks about the dangers of an oligarchy.
For some context, let’s turn to the Campaign Legal Center, which explained the nitty-gritty of dark money in politics: “For some wealthy special interests, dark money groups are one way to influence high-stakes elections while avoiding accountability—both for themselves and for the candidates who benefit from their secret efforts.” George Soros is a master at doing this.
And just in case you think this is a one-off, let’s talk about a Chuck Schumer-Aligned Group that brought in a record $92M in dark money.
According to Discover the Networks:
A group aligned with Democrat Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) brought in a record $92 million in “dark money” from anonymous donors while Schumer slammed Republicans for using — you guessed it — dark money, according to Breitbart News.
Majority Forward, a nonprofit affiliated with Schumer’s Senate Majority PAC, hauled in $92 million between July 2019 and June 2020, according to the organization’s tax forms.
During the 2020 election cycle, Majority Forward contributed $51 million to Schumer’s PAC, making it the largest donor. Meanwhile, he criticized the GOP for doing the same thing. Schumer also pushed the Senate to pass the For the People Act, which contains provisions requiring political nonprofits to disclose donors who contribute more than $10,000.
“Majority Forward is kind of a dark money empire that the Democrat Party really doesn’t want to talk about, especially Chuck Schumer,” Parker Thayer, a Capital Research Center investigator told Fox News. “The Democratic Party makes a big deal in public about getting rid of dark money, getting dark money out of politics, but the reality is even the New York Times is now reporting on this.”
Thayer referred to a recent New York Times report that found 15 of the most active Democrat dark money organizations outspent the top 15 Republican groups by a margin of over $600 million. Those Democrat dark money groups spent $1.5 billion during the 2020 cycle, compared to $900 million for Republican organizations.
“Democrats use much more dark money than Republicans do, and they’re more than willing to take that funding as long as it benefits them, but they’ll still simultaneously call out conservatives and Republicans for using dark money as well,” Thayer pointed out.
Here’s another one. Left-wing ideologue David Brock from Media Matters:
Axios reported Monday that left-wing ideologue David Brock has launched a “dark money” effort to disbar, publicly shame, and impoverish more than 100 lawyers who participated in filing post-election legal challenges to the 2020 presidential election results.
The effort, named the “65 Project” because of the number of post-election lawsuits, is funded by anonymous donors and aims to discourage lawyers from representing Republican clients in any future election challenges.
“A dark money group with ties to Democratic Party heavyweights will spend millions this year to expose and try to disbar more than 100 lawyers who worked on Donald Trump’s post-election lawsuits,” Axios noted. Brock told Axios that the idea is to “not only bring the grievances in the bar complaints, but shame them and make them toxic in their communities and in their firms.”
Brock made no attempt to hide the fact that he is trying to deprive his targets of their ability to earn a living, and that he is picking on smaller targets, simply because they represented an opposing side in legitimate filings in an election dispute.
Axios notes further that the 65 Project is focused on three groups of lawyers: those who represented Trump, those who were “alternate electors,” and those who were present at the January 6, 2021 protest and riot, whether or not they broke the law.
So, there you have it: Biden’s parting message about the dangers of dark money, concentrated wealth, and oligarchs—delivered by the same administration that thrives on all three. The message is clear: dark money is bad—unless it’s coming from their friends.
