The rumors are true: FBI Director Christopher Wray is officially clocking out before Donald Trump’s second act begins. On Wednesday, Wray spilled the beans during a town hall with the FBI workforce (or, as we like to call them, the “office peanut gallery”) that he’s stepping down. According to the Washington Post, Wray thinks this is the best move for the Bureau. Because, you know, nothing says “stability” like your boss bailing before a new president moves in.
“My goal is to keep the focus on our mission — the indispensable work you’re doing on behalf of the American people every day,” Wray said. Translation? “Good luck, everyone. I’m out.”
But wait, there’s more! He added, “In my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the Bureau deeper into the fray while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work.” Sure, Chris, stepping down is definitely the best way to keep things totally not messy. The decision, he claims, was “not easy for me.” Yeah, leaving a high-powered gig rarely is, especially when your new boss already has someone else warming up in the bullpen.
“I love this place, I love our mission, and I love our people,” Wray gushed. Wow, so much love going around. But then he pivoted to: “My focus is, and always has been, on us and doing what’s right for the FBI.” Translation? “I’m leaving to save you all. You’re welcome.”
Meanwhile, the Washington Times reported that Wray didn’t want the humiliation of being booted right before Trump’s inauguration. (Because getting fired on live TV isn’t exactly the best LinkedIn update.) Trump has already picked his guy — Kash Patel — to take over. According to a source, “He’s going to be gone at the inauguration. On or before the inauguration.” Sounds like Wray is beating Trump to the punch — a bold move, Chris!

VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELNow, let’s talk about Trump’s take on all this because, of course, he has thoughts. A lot of them. Wray and Trump? Let’s just say they’ve had a rocky relationship. One major sticking point? That time Wray wasn’t convinced Trump had been shot at during an assassination attempt. Wray initially said there was “some question” about whether Trump was hit by “a bullet or shrapnel.” Ouch.
Trump, never one to hold back, fired off on Truth Social (because where else?): “FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress yesterday that he wasn’t sure if I was hit by shrapnel, glass, or a bullet (the FBI never even checked!), but he was sure that Crooked Joe Biden was physically and cognitively ‘uneventful’ – Wrong!” Classic Trump, coming in hot.
And he wasn’t done. Oh no. He continued, “That’s why he knows nothing about the terrorists and other criminals pouring into our Country at record levels. His only focus is destroying J6 Patriots, Raiding Mar-a-Lago, and saving Radical Left Lunatics, like the ones now in D.C. burning American flags and spray painting over our great National Monuments – with zero retribution.”
Trump then set the record straight about the incident: “No, it was, unfortunately, a bullet that hit my ear, and hit it hard. There was no glass, there was no shrapnel. The hospital called it a ‘bullet wound to the ear,’ and that is what it was.” He didn’t hold back, adding, “No wonder the once-storied FBI has lost the confidence of America!” Because nothing rebuilds trust like a rant.
Here are the legacy media types asking Kash Patel if he’s going to take retribution against Wray once he is confirmed as the next director. I can guarantee the same stooge with a microphone would never question the lawlessness of Wray’s FBI. These people have no soul.

So, there you have it. Wray is exiting stage left, Trump is Trumping, and the FBI is bracing itself for another season of political drama. Hopefully, Patel can reform the American KGB force enough to make it respectful again. As for Wray, I think he should be investigated and charged for the many crimes he committed. Not as retribution, but to send a message that the things Wray did during his tenure can never be tolerated again. Turning law enforcement against American citizens all because they are a political enemy to the current administration is as illegal as it gets. I would like to see a reckoning. How about you?
