Apparently, meritocracy now comes dressed in camo, owns a Bible, and proudly wears a MAGA hat—and that’s got Susan Rice in full meltdown mode.
The former National Security Advisor, who famously lied to the world about Benghazi, is back with another hot take: this time aimed at the Trump administration’s Defense Department picks. She’s fuming that the people being appointed don’t check the right diversity boxes.
Here is a quote from Rice that will make you shake your head:
“Well, if you’re a white male, Christian, cisgender, macho MAGA man, you can be as dumb as a rock and be deemed qualified to serve as Secretary of Defense. That’s apparently what we’ve learned from this episode.”
How do liberals keep getting away with this nonsense? I’m not just talking about the thinly veiled racism buried in her word salad—I’m talking about the outright lies she told about the Trump administration, Pete Hegseth, and the Department of Defense. Rice stooping to the lowest common denominator by playing the race card was completely predictable, because let’s be honest, progressives don’t seem to know how to argue any other way.
Rice argued that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) has been unfairly “weaponized” and lied about, but what she really means is that Americans are finally waking up to how DEI has been used to divide, discriminate, and silence anyone who doesn’t fit the left’s preferred identity checklist.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELIn Rice’s world, being a white, Christian, straight man is basically a disqualifier—unless you’re leading a DEI training program on how to apologize for your race and your existence.
What Rice fails to mention is that under the Trump administration, people are chosen based on what they can do, not what box they check. That’s what real meritocracy looks like. But Rice and her pals have twisted “merit” into a four-letter word, especially if the person earning the job didn’t get there through progressive virtue signaling and identity politics.
Then came the DEI sermon. Rice tried to salvage her rant by making it about how “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” is being unfairly turned into an insult.
“But let’s also be clear, there’s a serious point here,” she said.
Yes, and that point involves rambling through a laundry list of identities like she was trying to win a game of Progressive Bingo.
Rice said:
“But let’s also be clear, there’s a serious point here.
DEI has been used as a slur to suggest that anybody who might be a woman, might be a person of color, might be a religious minority, might have a disability, might be a religious minority, might be a veteran or a native descent, anybody who has benefited in any way, shape or form, from the notion that we all should be treated equally, and that we should be viewed on the basis of our merits and not discounted because we happen to be a woman or happen to be a person of color, anybody who fits the mold of somebody who is not a white Christian cisgender male is, by definition, in this administration, deemed inferior.”
Let’s pause and appreciate just how many times she looped through that sentence. Somehow, she managed to describe actual meritocracy while trying to defend DEI, which in practice has turned into the exact opposite—favoritism dressed up in activist lingo.
And we’re supposed to take her seriously?
Just a reminder: This is the same Susan Rice who went on every Sunday show to tell the world that the deadly Benghazi attack, which murdered three Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, happened because of a YouTube video. Hardly anyone even saw that video, but that didn’t stop her from pushing the lie.
Now she’s resurfaced again, this time throwing a tantrum because Pete Hegseth (a decorated veteran and actual patriot) helped push her out of a Defense Department she had no business influencing in the first place.
Gunther Eagleman nailed it:

Susie Rice is REALLY upset after she got ousted from the DoD.
Now she’s going on irrelevant podcasts to complain about Pete Hegseth.

Exactly.
Rice tried to prop up DEI by rattling off traits that actually define meritocracy—traits the Trump administration has consistently championed. This is the progressive playbook: they know what the right thing looks like, so they name it, pretend to defend it, and then accuse their political opponents of doing the exact opposite. They dress up toxic ideology in feel-good slogans, then attack the people actually getting results—simply because they’re not Democrats. You can’t make this stuff up.
And let’s be honest: this whole debate is playing out against a backdrop of a much bigger cultural war—over who gets to lead, who’s “qualified,” and whether DEI still means anything besides “Discriminate Especially Individuals-who-don’t-vote-Democrat.” DEI, it turns out, is government-sanctioned anti-white racism. And at this point, it’s just another woke acronym politicians recycle to score clout and punish their enemies.
Those who champion DEI don’t want equal opportunity. They want the game rigged for themselves and all those boxes they proudly and loudly check off.
Susan Rice is fuming because she got the boot—and let’s be honest, does anyone with a triple-digit IQ think she was there for anything other than to sabotage the Trump administration from the inside? She wasn’t hired for her brilliance or results; she was a political operative, a loyal foot soldier for two Democrat regimes—Obama and Biden. Her job wasn’t to help—it was to obstruct. She was a partisan hitman embedded in our national defense, and Pete Hegseth was right to show her the door.
Bottom line is that under Trump, merit actually means something. If you’re good at the job, you get the job, regardless of what race, gender, or pronoun you put on your resume. Meanwhile, the Biden crew—of which Rice is a proud alum—used DEI to divide the country, push racial quotas, and openly discriminate against white Americans in the name of “equity.”
And they wonder why we fight back.
