Elon Musk, Twitter‘s new owner, has stated that the company might share internal discussions linked to the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story in order to rebuild public faith.
Musk made the remark in response to a tweet from Alex Lorusso of Turning Point USA, a conservative campus organization that was just reinstated on the platform.
“Raise your hand if you think @ElonMusk should make public all internal discussions about the decision to censor the @NYPost’s story on Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 Election in the interest of Transparency,” Lorusso said.
“This is necessary to restore public trust,” Musk responded.
Earlier in the day, Musk implied that the public needs to “know the truth” about the scope of Twitter’s political filtering.
Musk responded, “The more I learn, the worse it gets. The world should know the truth of what has been happening at Twitter,” said Musk. “Transparency will earn the trust of the people.”

One of the most apparent examples of Silicon Valley’s meddling in the 2020 election on behalf of Democrats was the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story by various tech platforms, including Twitter.
Twitter suspended the New York Post’s account for 16 days after its October 2020 blockbuster piece on Hunter Biden’s overseas business ventures and President Joe Biden’s awareness of them. Because of the timing of the ban, Dorsey and Twitter were accused of interfering in the 2020 election. The site also blocked tweeting the Post’s story.
The New York Post is the second-longest running news outlet in America, founded by Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey later recognized that the platform’s decision to block the story was incorrect. “We reversed it almost immediately,” Dorsey added. “We should have also reinstated the account without requiring a delete of the tweet.”
Yeah, but they didn’t. The blue checkmarks on Twitter still don’t understand how contemptible the American people find having news they should be privy to censored out of their reach.
