Former aide to Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James is suing the official for allegedly covering up sexual harassment and assault by the former chief of staff, who recently resigned.
According to the lawsuit, Sofia Quintanar, 33, accused Ibrahim Khan of forcing his tongue down her neck during a Brooklyn event last November, Fox News reported Thursday.
“She alleges that James covered up the alleged assault and then made misleading statements to the media ‘that he was on vacation, or with a sick relative when in fact, he had been suspended for nearly two months,’ the lawsuit said,” the outlet said.
In August 2021, James announced that Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed current and former state employees, violating federal and state law, following a comprehensive investigation by Breitbart News.
Khan resigned a few weeks ago after James hired an outside law firm to investigate the situation. She later stated that the investigation found that the individual had committed sexual misconduct.
“The Office of Attorney General has protocols in place to thoroughly investigate any allegation of misconduct. The office takes these matters with the utmost seriousness and this situation is no different,” a spokesperson said after his resignation:

Khan allegedly tried to kiss her at the event, and Quintanar questioned his conduct, according to the Fox report:
Khan then allegedly leaned in for another kiss before he was rebuffed again, the complaint said. Quintanar initially decided not to file a complaint against Khan, fearing he would use his influence and political connections to damage her career, the suit said.
She also worried that Khan would claim the interaction was consensual. She said she later learned that he had allegedly acted improperly with other women.
According to the outlet, the young woman is suing for unspecified damages.
It is no surprise that James would handle the two similar cases differently. She is a political animal working for her own political gain. She has ambitions of running for governor. Her primary reason to elect her when she ran for the AG position was that she was the one who was going to take Donald Trump down. And the people of New York elected her.
