The ever corrupt Jack Smith may have doomed one of his cases and Fani Willis’s cases against President Trump when he asked the US Supreme Court to take the case of presidential immunity before receiving judgements from the lower courts. Smith is trying to preserve Trump’s trial date of the day before Super Tuesday but the Supreme Court has agreed to an expedited hearing on immunity of the presidency or in case a president is impeached but not convicted of a crime.
Here is Smith’s problem. If the Supreme Court rules in favor of Trump, Smith’s case involving an attempt to overturn an election would be out the window due to that immunity. CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig also said that it would kill the bogus Fani Willis case against President Trump because it would affect both federal and state crimes. It would not throw out Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case which did not occur during Trump’s presidency, but is considered by many legal analysts to be ridiculous to the extreme.
Honig said:
“If Donald Trump is to win here, obviously Jack Smith’s federal election interference case is out the window. I also think Fani Willis’ case is doomed. Yes, that is a state-level case, but the principles of immunity would apply whether it’s a federal or state-level prosecution. Again, that’s if Trump wins.”

Honig also said that it would not affect Smith’s case in relation to documents in Trump’s possession. But, that case rests on whether a president can take documents from the White House which the law provides for. Strangely, federal prosecutors are indicating that Joe Biden won’t be prosecuted for classified documents he took as a US Senator and as vice president which does not comply with the law.
Smith’s petition to the court comes three months before the set trial date scheduled for March 4.
Honig warned both Smith and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ cases against Trump could be “out the window” if the Supreme Court sides with the former president.
Honig said the ruling would not impact Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump. In this case, the former president faces 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection to alleged hush money payments to former porn actress Stormy Daniels.
Smith indicted Trump on four counts in early August over his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results on January 6, 2021. He is charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to corruptly obstruct and impede the January 6 proceedings and a conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted.
Willis charged the former president with thirteen charges for allegedly attempting to overturn the 2020 election in the state. Among these charges include an alleged violation of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, Conspiracy To Commit Forgery in the First Degree and Conspiracy To Commit False Statements and Writings.
